    +1 for starsan. Let is soak for a couple of minutes, put the hops in and down it goes :D Boiling is really great but, call me maniac, in the time where it's out of the kettle and in the carboy / keg, it could get bugs on it. When it's full of starsan, it's unlikely to happen :)

    You can safely replace another .5# of dme with corn sugar and throw the carapils down to 4oz. I'd suggest doing 1 modification at a time in order to know what did what.

    Magnum for general bittering. If you like citrucy ipas, some Centennial could be great. The third one I'd buy in bulk woud be East Kent Golding. It just fits so well in an astonishing amount of styles.
