    Fermentor to small,

    Thanks all! I fitted a blow off tube for now, I am fermenting at 68 degrees now, the batch was a little larger than intended and this was my first yeast starter with stir plate! I guess my yeast is very happy!

    So I have a 4 gallon bucket for fermentation, with a 13.5 quart batch. Just pitched yesterday and today its blowing out the airlock with foam. Is it safe to transfer to a 5 gallon, sanitized bucket? Thanks!

    If a little lower FG is all, I am not too worried about that. Beersmith is predicting 5.7 abv. and I wouldn't mind it being a bit lower than that for a wheat beer.
