all auto, I have sat in the garage and watch about 7 tear brews so far. All hands off except the few couple before I flashed MCU firmware.

Most of the stuff on that website is not electronic parts. There is the control board that has the processor board on it. He is charging $60 USD for the unit. The Olimex board is like 20 USD. So either should work.

So I had picked up two Ebay B20 units. Both were not functioning when I received them. One would not boot at all and one would not heat water in either the boil or mash tank. I have pulled them both apart and did the heater rewire. Upgrade the wire from 14ga to 10ga, since it was the same...

If it is the processor board you can pick them up at https://www.olimex.com/Products/SOM/A13/ The one in the original Brewie B20 was the A13-256. I am not sure which one is in the B20+. If it is the MCU, as far as I know, you are out of luck. That is a Brewie specific board and I don't think...

Which board are you asking about, the processor board or the MCU control board?

You are correct 14ga wire will run technically up to 20 amps but I always go with the 80% usage rule. I would rather be safer than sorry. To break down the true problem of the design, it is the spade push on connectors that are the issue. All electrical connections are points of resistance and...

Both my B20 units from ebay had the black wires and the ends were not burnt yet but they had started turning brown from the heat. As for replacing the cables with larger gauge cables, This I would recommend you do. You are already into the machine and have tore it almost completely apart so why...

One of my eBay units did the same thing. It was the SD card. I replaced it and flashed a lower level image on it. Booted it up and everything started working properly. I let it upgrade from Brewie to the latest B20 firmware from them. I believe it was 3.0.1. This insures that all firmware for...

I ordered 2 eBay units and both came with all accessories. All hop cages, false bottoms, hoses, and brew bags. I think it is hot or miss with the units and what they come with.

From what I remember it is an issue when the software was updated manually by writing the SD image on the SD card but the MCU firmware was not updated. In this situation the calibrations are off and will not function properly with auto water. There is a post somewhere about how to update...

I am in the process of refurbishing my 2 Ebay units. Reworking the heater wires, using 10ga wire and High temp terminals, self sealing tape, and high temp electrical tape. Making sure all the screws are tight and installed properly. Installing fans that will blow cool air onto the terminals at...

Yeah there have been several have issues with the chill cycle foaming up like crazy. I let mine sit in the keg overnight and chill. Have had no issues with this process.

I have not used any hulls in my brews so far. I have not had any issues with the grain bed draining. As for additives like sugars, etc..., I add directly to the keg during the boil cycle. This keeps it out of the grain bed and allows it to go through the boil cycle.

Here is the heart behind the B20. The system on a chip/board setup that is. https://www.olimex.com/Products/SOM/A13/A13-SOM-256/ I wonder if you picked up the 512 variant if it would run any better?

The only things that I have seen that are not off the shelf parts are the weight sensors, the load cells that are connected to them, circuit boards, and the weird flow control boxes for the liquid. Of course the software I would expect but most of the other internal parts I have searched for are...

My opinion is that most, not all, people in the home brew hobby have some mechanical ability to be able "Tinker" and fix things. Maybe not repairing traces on a circuit board or replacing components on the board. But Most would be able to diagnosis and replace "swap" bad parts fairly easy. This...

Several people have bought the units and they have all had minor issues. Easily fixed and are back up and running. That is pretty convincing reason to pick one up. If you already have a B20 to pick one up for 250 just to have all the parts to repair the one you have is worth it as well. I have...

Original B20: 3.0 (3.1.1 under beta testing phase) At least this is my understanding. Of course beta testing may be done with since the company is up and down right now.

Is that listing for the +, I thought it was the regular B20?
