    Looking for help.

So it's in the air for a 10 gallon or a 5 gallon batch that I'm looking to make. I'm hoping to make an all-grain batch. If I make a 10 gallon batch I have use of two 5 gallon igloo coolers with everything to mash in. But has anyone ever mashed like that? That's one issue. I'm also looking to...

    Smoked Stout Experiment

Cherry the fruit. I would stay away from from woods. With my limited knowledge I think oaking or using wood is going to mute the smoke flavor. I would use cherry. Sounds interesting to me.

    Smoked Stout Experiment

My two cents. I wouldn't oak or any other wood for that matter as it will probably mute the smoky flavor. I may go with a cherry or a vanilla. I think in a small amount they would compliment each other well.

Tastes kinda like I got malt extract on my hand and I liked it off. Not much of any others flavor. It's from France. If you you see this one skip it.

    What to brew....

I'm not sure what everyone else will say but I have only been brewing about a year probably about 7-8 beers but none have been the same beer. In that time I have also gone from kits with extract to making my own recipes up based on others recipes from here. You can probably answer your own...

Making Traditional rice Wine. Cheap, Fun, and Different

Ok so I soaked the sweet rice for a few hours, over cooked it, added more water and the yeast. Didn't touch it for 20 days. Sweet mother of pearl. Opened it today to pasteurize and add my flavors, is so freaking good. Only reason I thought about fruit to flavor I thought it wasn't going to...

Looking at your recipe the major difference in yours and mine I added 3/4 cup dark chocolate cocoa powder in last few minutes of boil. I messed up put lactose in then as well. Should have waited to...

    Taste between ferment and bottling

I think its something that with time we will grow to understand how the taste will evolve. I'm still a new brewer but I taste everything, every step. Ask people that have come to my house on a brew day. If we bottle or transfer and your a new guy you taste the yeastcake. Chew some grains. Half...

    What are you drinking now?

KBS is the magical unicorn of stouts for me. I want it so bad and everyone is either not able to carry it or they never have it. Either way I'm completely jealous.

    What would you buy?

I would buy a pair bottle tree and a bottle spray attachment for the sink. Save the rest for my next brew day.
