Hey I just kegged a 5 gallon batch of Stone IPA. next day my homebuilt kegerator compressor failed. It's gonna be days before I can get it cold again. It's under C02.. will it hurt the beer?

Not trying to justify it. Haven't done it either. I would think the deposit price is based on lost value. Lady told me the deposit used to be lower but they made money scrapping them. The responsibility is between the distributor and the owning party, not the customer.

No not yet but I hear you and thanks. What I did with the first batch was keep it in a temperature controlled room. Stayed about 68-69 the whole time. Drinking it right now. Force carbonated. Getting bubbles in the glass now... delicious!

I ordered the sampling port. This might be the better way to empty without passing the stuff collected on the sides of the lower taper.
