I updated my NE IPA brew video with my full recipe tonight. A tasting video is uploading but on 3mb DSL it'll be a day or so lol. Turned out great. Both my pale ale and IPA turned out fantastic.
My second one done and tapped. Really good, mosaic, citra, and Amarillo again for hops but changed up the grain bill. Split the base grains 50/50 Maris otter and 2 row.
Just hitting numbers. I spent my first 10 brews just trying to make it brew like it should. I'll start seeing what I can do to up my efficiency now.
I'll sacrifice some alcohol for it running smoothly though. Most of my beers end up around 5% which is good for the styles I do. I'm doing...
Finally having a good streak on this thing. 3 brews in a row went great. Struggling with gravities but at least it's brewing like it's supposed to. Rebrewed the wheat beer that gave me trouble and it went really well. 12# of wheat in it, no issues
30# batch tonight. 12# of wheat in it, it was my cherry wheat base recipe that I've burned twice now. Never touched the mash, never had any issues. Brew was the most painless yet. Video to come, new set up is definitely working for me.
I just left my dough ball destroyer under it last time but didn't have to do anything. Would still be about to use it no problem. Like you I just mix the crap out of them then throw it on top.
Should be fine, that's all I do really. Just have the valve open enough I can see the liquid...
Slow the feed to it down and it'll probably go across more of the holes. You don't need the pump at full open, I doubt you're gaining efficiency numbers by rinsing more times with it wide open. With my valve about 1/4 of the way open I get liquid out of every hole as long as I can get the...
If you're using a standard chugger just get a triclover T off the pump. You'll need to clean a T and a valve but should be fine just running one pump.
I believe it's after a wheat heavy beer and no circulation under the basket, when you send the element to 100% to heat towards boil. If...
Pbw and a green scotch Brite here. 75% will get you pretty close on the spreadsheet. If you boil at 60% drop a gallon off what they recommend. Edit, a gallon for an 11 gallon batch.
Been doing them since July/August, just wondering how many of you home Brewers watch videos? Beer review videos? Not sure if this is the right section for this but it's beer related as much as anything I guess.
I've watched a ton of them myself, enjoy seeing other people's set ups and what...
Not brew day but I was adding cocoa nibs and coffee beans to the fermenter and dropped the entire container that had just been sitting on the floor. I was like F me but with fermented beer/alcohol it ended up just fine.

Second brew video. Debating stepping back up to the cherry wheat that has killed me or doing a blood orange wheat beer next. Thinking something blood orange with summer coming up.
Brew day number two went off like brew day one. Fingers crossed I finally have a winning combo. This one took a little more to set the grain bed but once it was going and I tuned the recycle valve it ran perfect.
If brew days like this keep happening I'll be very happy. 30# of grain and a...
Brew day #2 with the new pump set up today. This one has a much larger grain bill so we will see how it goes. Had originally left flaked oats out but decided to add a # and see.
