Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

No idea if it's shot that's out of my league. The white spots? He's got a new one on the way. My old one was in rough shape but I cleaned it up and keep it on the bench in case mine died and I needed an emergency element, obviously would only work if I found it died heating up initially.

That'll clean up fine. Get some muratic acid and a spray bottle at home Depot. Spray it, give it 5-6 minutes, and hit it with a brillow pad. Wear gloves, muratic acid won't burn you on contact but it'll definitely tingle after a few minutes. I don't know why I quoted two posts. Apparently...

Muratic acid will clean the scorching off right off. Just make sure to rinse it really well with water afterwards.

Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

My last two beers had 12+ pounds of wheat malt and either flaked wheat or flaked oats, zero issues with scorching now that I recirculate under the basket. It isn't a solve all but it has 100% solved any scorching issues for me.

Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

Transferred 10 gallons of my last batch to the Brite tank and kegged 2.5 gallons. Beer is getting better and better. No complaints on the system anymore, still working on my efficiency but I'll get there. Brew budget is blown for this year but next up will be an RO system for the water.

Finally building the brew house... Want some advice

I have a CNC plasma and do work on the side for fun money. Sometimes I take advantage and do stuff for myself, the sign, and the trench covers. They also say reaction Brewing Company. I need to clean them up and powder coat them though so they pop a little more. Thanks for the compliments...

    New shiney toy

Got the parts and transferred to it last night. Went great. Set it to 37* and 9-10lbs, should end up around 2.4-2.5 volumes by tonight. Was at around 7lbs on the Brite tank gauge when I left for work this morning.

Finally building the brew house... Want some advice

Hole cut in floor going back to a drain, makes clean up and spills easy to clean. Just spray floor down and squeegee into trench. To the left under my kettle

Above anything else my trench is the favorite thing in my brewery. Big sink is nice, trench is irreplaceable.

    SS Brewtech first use ?

Mine is definitely all under the lid. It is basically a part of the lid, I have to reach in there and pull it off. I added a second valve and a sight glass for harvesting. Makes it a little easier to see what is going on.

    New shiney toy

Like he said, it has a coil lid I went with. No sense in a Brite thank that doesn't get cold. Should be loading it up tomorrow!

    New shiney toy

Yeah, it's their 10 gallon version. Probably not worth it to a lot of people but I'm hoping it serves me well. I keg into 2.5 gallon kegs, 5 gallons kegs, and just ordered a canner. I'm hoping I can use it for all 3 and to catch the last bit of sediment.

    New shiney toy

Picked this up this week hoping to transfer my current strawberry blonde into it but I'm missing parts, should be here tomorrow. Pretty excited to use it. Build quality seems on par with their fermenters.
