American Strong Ale Arrogant Bastard clone

oak cubes? I would check the flavor once a week at most. Cubes impart oak flavor slower than chips, but 3 months seems like way too long to me.

    Angry at this website!

I haven't had a hobo burning party in ages.

    Pepsi Throwback. Anyone try it?

I found some Mexican coke too, and all it did was give me a nosebleed and made me act like a huge *********. So really the only difference from normal is I got a nosebleed.

    hop beginner...little help?

Yes, that's what most people do. Hops aren't delicate little things that will spoil within moments of picking. Just dry them and vacuum seal them and they'll store for a long time. Keeping them in the freezer prolongs their shelf life. I've had some hops in the freezer over a year that were...

    Bud Light?

OK I gotta admit that's the first "bud = urine" joke I've actually laughed out loud at. Well done.

Hops container - wide or deep?

Out of the two, I would pick a garbage can over a plastic storage bin. They have a big taproot and spread all the way down that. A third year I would say a 13 gallon garbage can at the smallest.

How much care do hops need?

The first year I did hops I used 5 gallon buckets and left them on the driveway. They were root bound the first year. In fact, one even grew a taproot into a crack that was in the driveway! So definitely don't go smaller than 5 gallon.

    Hops are already up...

Yep, mine are starting to poke up as well.

Bought some hop roots/rhizomes on craigslist. What do I do now?

Around here, I bet they're Cascade hops since they're one of the most popular. "Northwest" hops are generally any that start with C, like Columbus, Cascade, Chinook, Centennial, etc. If you leave the root ball as it is, you'll get a lot of cones this year. If you cut it up it will be just like...

Appropriate time to plant in WA state, and where do I get seeds?

Also, don't bother looking for seeds, those are only for hop breeders, which is a very small market. Root cuttings called rhizomes are what we use for planting hops. The rhizome season is almost over, or is already over for this year for most nurseries.

    Growing Hops in planters

Just leave em outside as if they were in the ground. If you're worried about it moving them into an unheated garage will work too. Don't move them inside, it'll stay too warm.

    cyanide in sorghum shoots/acrospires

I've never used sorghum, but the acrospire is removed from barley, I would assume you'd do the same thing with sorghum and buckwheat.

My quick, easy, free bottle dryer

I would think a fan would blow germs back into the bottles.

Banjo burners can they be lit from push button grill ignitors?

I use one of these; If you're still set on using an ignitor go ahead, but use one of those in the meantime to keep your eyebrows intact.

    SoA...

Oh. Well I only get basic cable, so I've never heard of the show.

My wife and friends think my tap handle is creepy

Dude, I know not everyone is a fan of the Seahawks, but to call it creepy is just going overboard.
