Followed Brulosopher's lager schedule, used a 2L starter of the S23. This is kegged/lagered for 1 week and only 18 days old. This is delicious. Will definitely brew again.

Brewed this on Friday. 5 gallons at 1.052. Fermenting with S-23 at 51-52F. Will try and post a picture once it's done.

The timing of this article was perfect. I've slowly been gathering the parts to make a STC controller of my own. Over lunch today I am meeting a guy from Craigslist with a chest freezer that he has listed at $50, I figure it's 1/3 the cost of a lot of new ones, probably worth the risk.

I have two (2) igloo 5 gallon coolers, perfect for HLT and MT--I currently use 1 as a mash tun, however I am really looking to trade the two of them for (1) 10 gallon Igloo cooler. Please message me if interested.

Oh man, that sucks! Well I'll try and post in here when I get around to brewing this. It's still a little warm in my basement to ferment a lager.

any update on how this recipe turned out? this is a favorite of my brother in law and I would love to make this for him as a gift.
