    Sources and Methods

Yeah.....that's right, just make half and then mix half resulting with 5 gallons or mixing a little more in to compensate for the evaporated..... Well, I was trying to get a feel for what others do, I was thinking about going to a tap or a tank to dispense.......with a tank, I could measure...

    Sources and Methods

Hi, My kit should arrive today and I’m looking toward getting a Kegging system in the next couple of weeks. I have been thinking about setting up a system but there is one question that still seems outstanding that I just don’t have the answer. For those of you that have setup a Kegging...

    Hello

I'm in the same boat....i jumped on this site to keep from making stupid decisions as I gear up for my first brew and the making of other beverages....most have been really cool around here to help explain things so that anyone can undestand.... Just put it in the right place and most people...

    I'm now in Massachusetts

I shied away from homebrew for years because of the locals....I would rather see this site make links or see a section open up on the best ways to purchase online....in the most competitive prices…For both hardware and consumables… I don't mean to be discouraging but Michigan Sucks in every...

    Balls or Pinz

Well, unlike most people I don't mind paying a good price for a good product, but I only want to have to pay it once.... And that's what threw me as well because they were listed as Pepsi and Coke.....so I was a little baffeled by that.....

    Balls or Pinz

That's what I was looking for......the justification to spend the extra money to get the better product... That works.... :rockin:

    Excited to brew!

We have one heck of a Micro just blocks from my house. It’s darn good ale but man is it expensive. A six pack is over twelve dollars I believe. The only way I can afford it is if I go to the brewery and drink from the bar...so it rarely happens.. Often I don't associate beer with food...

    Balls or Pinz

Could someone explain to me the difference between a ball connector and a pin connector other then the operation and the use of it… What is the practical difference, why would you choose one over the other? From the site that I’m looking at one is more expensive but which is better and why...

    Dual Use Facility

Well, what prompted this is that I use to work at McDonalds and I remember the exact same Keg being used in the basement of the facility and I often had to pour the syrup extract into those tanks and it would fill automatically with water and occasionally we had only a 6 or 8 pound CO2 tank and...

    Hay home brew!!

I'll go with that, and actually, what I was trying to say in a backwards mannor was that if you’re going to use a bleach, that's cool.....But when I say hot water I mean stuff that I can't touch so even at or above boiling point.... That's why I actually agree with the CEO from Samuel Adams...

    Hay home brew!!

Actually, I knew very little about brewing before this week but sanitation is something I’m very familiar with. I know that allot of these kits have that B-Bright stuff but I wouldn't get too hung up on that....I don't have very much experience brewing but it would seem to me that...

    Dual Use Facility

Well, I guess I maybe asking the wrong question....I'm wasn't asking if it would make a true soda machine because I wasn't sure that it would but it would seem to me that you could mix the syrup and water then pressurize the tank… My question is can you unpressurize a tank or keg safely...

    Dual Use Facility

:off: Ok, someone can call me an idiot but something has occurred to me because I started looking into brewing and then this past day I have been seeing what Kegging equipment there is on the market. Not because I want anything other then bottles but because I was just wondering what was out...

Long time Drinker - First Time Maker

That’s good to know. Actually, in the context I heard it was from the video when he said to pay attention to the amount of priming sugar that your using otherwise if there is too much, it could have an adverse affect because there would be too much of a reaction…

Long time Drinker - First Time Maker

No, didn't know about the HowToBrew but bookmarked that puppy :mug: I know personally, that vid was good but I still have a lot of outstanding questions....I guess it will come to me in time, I think most of it is that I don't know because I haven't done it... I think the biggest thing...

Long time Drinker - First Time Maker

Hi all, Normally I skip these parts of the forums and usually just go for the jugular and just ask what I want to know. But in this case it’s not quite that simple. About 6 years ago (maybe more now) when Micro opened up in town they started pushing home brew products along with there own...
