Recirculation Manifold, Loc Line or Spray Nozzle?

Yeah I definitely wouldn’t use a sprayer. my options are looking like: 1. (I made my own post about this) I have a tri clamp port at the top of my kettle I use for a steam slayer. I’m wondering if just connecting my return hose to the port would be sufficient. My mash volume will typically...

Recirculation Manifold, Loc Line or Spray Nozzle?

I just saw that, thank you! I actually see that blichman sells them direct as well. I’m still debating on the setup I’d like to use.

    Considering a pump

Also, my plan for recirculating mash was to use the element in the bottom of my kettle for any added heat - on and off as needed at maybe 20-40%? Is this a viable option? I see other threads that say no because of scorching? My controller is a very basic controller 0-100% power and no...

    Considering a pump

Hey guys, I have been considering purchasing a brew pump. Specifically the Blichman Riptide. My goals with the pump in descending order: 1. Increased chill time / ability to whirlpool (I use a jaded hydra) 2. CIP for my spike kettle using the spike low pressure ball - if I could avoid moving...

Infection taking over and I'm at my wits end

yeah I just wanted to show that they are putting this information out there. I assume just to ensure success with newer or inexperienced users? Idk. I do however mix up a fresh batch every brew day though. Just feels right to me. I have 2 dogs and keeping dog hair at bay for a brew day is a...

American Barleywine Her Majesty's Pleasure Fusion Barleywine (awards)

I think there were some photos uploaded for this beer early on but they are no longer available. Does anyone have any photos? I have not liked the other barely wines that I have had in the past due to the dark fruit character (I believe that is the piece I’m picking out). Given this is a single...

    Fermenting in Sankey

I just saw you set up @apache_brew. That is a nice setup! My only question, how do you clean the inside of it and ensure it is cleaned?

    Picture of aged hops

They look normal to me. I don’t think you can smell them too much as is. Try squeezing and rolling one between your fingers while smelling it. A lot more potent then.

SS brewtech QC is awful now.

I couldn’t disagree more. The fact this was even shipped out is a problem that the community should be aware of.

*Opinion Wanted* --- Your Ideal Conical Set-up

Soo many options to fit those. Not a conical, but I’m currently fermenting in a 15 gallon torpedo keg from morebeer. My only gripes are when it comes to dry hopping.

Capping CO2 filled bottles for storage

I’m with golddiggie, I don’t see a point to doing that. Clean and store when dry and sanitize prior to using. What you describe would be wasting co2, caps, and most importantly, time.
