    Speidel Braumeister (brewmaster)

here is what the info says about the short malt pipe. "By utilizing this shortened mash pipe, you can now brew either a 2.5 or 5 gallon batch with your 20L Braumeister!" So it is possable to brew 5 gal with it ... according to what they say.

    Speidel Braumeister (brewmaster)

Just got a used 20L Braumeister and these are my first comments about it. First batch was planed to be a 5 gallon batch. The standard malt tube (grain bucket) requires a minimum of 6 gallons of water to start with. Otherwise the top coil of the heater is exposed to air when the pump takes the...

    Grainfather!!

Well here is the deal ... The wort is recirculated during mash and the level rises until it is flowing into the overflow tube instead of thru the grain bed. This can be a problem as pits and pieces of grain will flow down that tube and either block the pump filter screen or flow up the tube and...

ATTENTION CORPUS CHRISTI BREWERS (if there are any)

There is an active HomeBrew club here in Corpus Christi, Texas. B.A.S.H. Bay Area Society of HomeBrewers. Also the Liquid Town on Airline near McCardle sells HomeBrew equipment and supplies. Feel free to call me with any questions about the HomeBrewing scene in Corpus Christi. Willee 361-563-1303

    Does anyone sell Brews

I think what you want is someone to custom brew a recipe for you. Have you checked for a local brew club in your town? If you have one go to a meeting and ask around. Do you have a micro-brewery near you? Might be a good place to start. Of course you could always learn to brew for yourself as...

STOLEN: Sabco Brew Magic - Chicago.

Hope we hear some good news about this. Hard to believe they would take something that so few would be interested in buying but I guess if crooks had any brains they would not be crooks. I would not be surprised if someone you know is somehow mixed up this.

    Coffee for bittering ...?

To me coffee is bitter ... would adding an ounce or so of coffee grounds to the boil achieve bittering the same way hops will?

    Grainfather!!

I have used my GrainFather for a while now with no issues. The heating element attached to the bottom of the pot has two elements ... a inner and a outer and for high or Boil setting both elements are active. They are horseshoe shaped not a full circle. The elements are inside a metal plate that...

    Braumeister V1 20l

Just looked at the ads for this system ... looks nice. I have a GrainFather but I like the way the Braumeister recirculates the wort up thru the grain bed. If you would ship it to me for $800 I would buy it today. William Lee 361-563-1303

3-in-1 "Boil Kettle, Jacketed Chiller, Conical Fermenter" by Brewha

This sounds like a very nice and well built system. I really like my GrainFather for 5 or 6 gal batches. Simple and easy to use.

    First American light beer ....

Actually no ... under 70 deg fermentation. But laggering will only improve the flavor. So ... if this is your first all grain brew I think you will be impressed. Dont rush things ... take your time ... it will be OK.:ban:

    First American light beer ....

Yes it was kinda a Frankenstein beer but I am so pleased with the result. The batch I am brewing today will include a bit of coriander for a slight citrus note and will be kegged so I can get the carbonation right. If that will take it toward a Corona style the more the better. From what I read...

    First American light beer ....

I wanted a nice clear light colored beer similar to Budwiser but with just a bit more bitter flavor and body. Just sampled it today after bottling two weeks ago. Wow ... don't mean to brag but this beer is exactly what I wanted. Light, Crystal Clear, just a bit more bitter, But ... just a bit...

first brew in a bag ...

I did my first BIAB using a nylon mesh bag lining the GrainFather. I used the top cover (upside down) as the false bottom of the grain basket and put the bag in there. It fit perfect and made cleanup a real quick chore. The SG was only a few points off the estimated value so the bag did not...
