    still havesting in chicago...

I've got a bunch of nice looking hops down here in Cincinnati that haven't been harvested yet. They are still producing cones like crazy right now. We have had some similar nice weather, although its been cold the last few days. Its supposed to be warm and sunny this weekend, so I'm going to...

    E-HERMS Complete Set Up

Let me know for sure. I am willing to meet for delivery within reasonable distance from Cincinnati. Its a great system, I'm honestly just doing this for fun. I'm barely making back what I put into it by selling it at this price. I use a system just like this one and I can testify that it...

    Purchase an electric heat source???

Actually, a 3,500 watt heating element would definitely need a dryer outlet. At 120Volts a 3,500 watt element would pull 29 amps! The biggest element you could use on a 20amp dedicated circuit would be a 2,000watt element. (this would draw close to 17amps) Like someone mentioned above, one...

Step 1 - Power to the Panel - Can I tee a line?

Ask around. If you have any friends or neighbors with electrical experience it would be better to have them help you out. I've added a new breaker to a panel before and honestly its not that hard, but it would help to have someone walk you through it first. Don't try the thing you...

    Stout Tanks RIMS Module

Wow, that is a beautiful RIMS tube. What kind of set up are you using it on? Would love to see more pics of it once you get your build done! So a heating element can just screw right in to the one of those ends? What goes on the other end?

Blue Crab Brewing Co. Brew Porn

Sweet control box man! Where did you get the stainless steel enclosure?! BTW, I'm glad to see you're building a proper stand. That gorgeous set up deserves better than an old ping pong table:)!!

    Purchase an electric heat source???

If you want to do full boils quickly you'll need to use at least a 3500 watt heating element in my opinion, 5500 watt is better. However, these require a 240V/30A electric service (standard dryer outlet). If you can get access to a dryer outlet you'd be good to go.

    E-HERMS Complete Set Up

St. Louis is around 5 and a half hours from Cincy. If you're definitely interested I'd be willing to meet you somewhere in the middle (maybe Indianapolis or Terre Haut?) By the way. Here's a link to the video I promised I was working on. It's kind of lame and not the best quality, but it...

    E-HERMS Complete Set Up

Replied via PM. But, to answer your question: I would be willing to try shipping, however, with the stand that would be expensive and difficult.

    E-HERMS Complete Set Up

By the way, if there are any features you'd like that aren't currently on this system let me know. I'd be willing to work with you on adding them. For example, if you really want a timer on the control panel I'd be willing to add one and we could work out a price agreement.

    E-HERMS Complete Set Up

I'm very excited to offer this system up for sale. I had some extra parts lying around after I built my current control panel and system so I decided it would be fun to use them to build another complete set up and then sell to someone looking to get into all grain or moving to all electric...

    Auber 2352 PIDs

Yup, he's right. Its either on or off depending on your threshold. I highly recommend incorporating an on/off switch for the alarm because they are annoying as hell otherwise:)

    Questions on converting to electric

Why are you so anxious to convert to electric now if you're moving in a year? If I were you I would just keep brewing the way you are now and save your money to use on your new electric system when you move. What are you going to do with all that cable after you move? You could just start...

    NattyBrew's Electric Brewery Build

I went the e-keggle route with my kal-inspired system. It certainly can be done with out any limitations. I personally wanted all welded connections so I went with keggles mostly for that reason.
