Another Electric Build - Morgan Dollar Brewery

That triclamp heating element looks awesome! I have to agree that having one of those on the boil kettle would be far easier for clean up. I might consider upgrading one of these days. I think it would be worth the extra cost to be able to just undo a TC and pull out the whole element so I...

    Kenmore 5.1 Keezer…

Nice, I have a GE set up just like yours. 3 kegs is definitely the max with the CO2 tank, but for me that's plenty of beer on tap at one time! I actually bought it originally for a fermentation fridge, but I quickly started using it for kegs and now I don't have a fermentation fridge anymore...

    Almost done

Nice! The wiring took me a solid week of working a few hours after work, but in the end its fun and worth it to see a job well done. I like that you made it unique by doing your own colors and labels.

6 Pack of Two Hearted Ale for 1 bottle of 120 min?

I know that Two Hearted isn't even close to being rare compared to 120, but what I was hoping is that someone who doesn't have access to it, might have access to 120 and be willing to set up a trade. With that said, for anyone interested I would be willing to find you anything you're...

    Keg to ekeggle conversion pics

Beautiful work on your keggle! I'm not a welder so I have a lot of respect for those of you that can make such nice welds at home! I had mine done by the "pros" at SABCO and I can say that yours are just as nice!

6 Pack of Two Hearted Ale for 1 bottle of 120 min?

Wow, 120 on tap? That's pretty nuts. I wish I could have planned a visit to Rehobooth beach then! I know its a long shot, but I thought I would at least try:(

6 Pack of Two Hearted Ale for 1 bottle of 120 min?

Anyone? Sounds crazy, but I'd love to at least try this beer once in my life! I can get other stuff if you have something else in mind.

    Whittle Beer Pump?

Not sure that I would ever want to actually use it for anything. If I did buy it I'd probably just try to get it running for fun, but then it would probably just sit as a conversation peice/decoration. I don't know if my wife is going to go for it though...

    Whittle Beer Pump?

I came across an interesting peice of historic beer making equipment this weekend at an antique mall here in Cincinnati. I'm trying to figure out exactly what it is and what it could have been used for? Also, trying to decide should I buy it since its obviously rare and kind of cool! Here...

    HERMS/RIMS Controller

It is still available. I'm leaving for vacation in about 30 minutes so I won't be able to sell until I get back on the 27th. Here are a couple more pics. I'll take $120 for it if you pay shipping. I need this gone! I can't really think of anything I need for trade right now.

    Shipping beer

The best way to ship alcohol, IMO, without any issues is to use Fedex or UPS's website to set up your own account. From there you can create shipment labels (at a discounted price actually) and get your boxes ready for shipment from home. Don't worry if you don't have a scale. Just give your...

    15.5 gallon/half barrel eKettle question

Are you talking about a greenlee step bit? If so, you really want to use a knockout punch for this. A step bit will leave a messy hole. Have you read through Kal's site about punching holes in kettles? If not, its really helpful. I've successfully made holes in kettles now using his...

    HERMS/RIMS Controller

You would need a different cord to plug into a 120v outlet. I'm not sure what internal components would need to be changed though. Hey, by the way, I used to live in Madison Heights.

    Flameout vs Dry Hopping

There's a pretty good article from Jamil here: Scroll down until you see "Late Hops: The Secret to Hop Aroma and Flavor" http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/zymurgy/free-downloads Its from 2006, but it's pretty relevant to this discussion... Enjoy!

Any tricks for Dry Hopping in a Carboy???

I always use muslin bags when I dry hop in carboys. As long as you don't use more than 1 oz or so per bag they're not hard to get out. However, I'm not happy with the results I'm getting using this method. As mentioned above, the bags never sink and I think that makes the usage of the hops...
