Imagine how much that stuff would cost if the honey were made with Manuka honey! That stuff is EXPENSIVE! Over $1/oz expensive! I suppose the thread should be "mead made with the world's most expensive ingredients" but that's a bit wordy. 😅

Maybe I should reduce the honey and/or reduce the amount of juice? Maybe 1 qt of juice and 2qts water? I have a 1.5 gallon jar for a fermenter, so thatbshould leave plenty of headroom. Maybe 1.5# of honey?

Anyone ever made a Blueberry melomel? My plan is to.make a 1 gallon "test" batch by mixing about 3# of honey. And fill the rest with Blueberry juice to just over 1 gallon (account for loss due to trub, etc). Thinking of adding frozen & thawed blueberries in "secondary" for a couple weeks for flavor.

I Saw a "small" water container at Walmart the other day. Not sure what size it is, and it wasn't marked. I'm guessing it's 1 gallon, but who knows. Might ask someone some time

Update: started tonight. Had to add approx 2/3 of another bottle of juice. Unfortunately the store was out of V8 Splash, so I bought a small bottle of pomegranate juice. OG is approx 1.045. Using Kolsch ale yeast
