    Transformer for controllers

You can change voltages with transformers. Not knowing your application or any transformer specs I would use my homes 220 vac service and use it to power my heaters and use a step down transformer to 120 vac to power my controls. Or even better use a 24vdc controls and use a 220 to 24vdc power...

    Aging beer?

I was wondering which home brews tend to keep the longest ex. Ipa, Porters. I know that they are not neccesarily like wines but I know that some are able to retain their flavor longer. I was hoping to built up a small stockpile so I would always have some and possibly even different types...

    Bud Light Platinum 6.0% abv

    Caribou Slobber

I have brewed caribou slobber twice now from extract kit and it shouldn't be bitter at all. Very smooth brown ale. It reminds me so much of Samual Smiths nut brown ale it is not even funny. Now I am no beer snob and may be way off with that but thats what it taste like to me.

    Very Good Brew Weekend

It was some work but dang if it does not get gone so fast.... I want to try to start stocking some up. The apelwein is a long term project so it will just sit for awhile. I really want to start kegging. Bottling is what I dislike the most. I love the brewing and it was great weather this...

    What would you do?

I bumped the temp up to bout 80f about 5 days ago and the wine temp is about 76. Is it OK to keep doing it every day. Should I add some more kmeta just in case. I am scared it is going to get contaminated the more I monkey with it.

    What would you do?

Ok, Have a wine expert 30 day kit I have been trying to degass now for 14 days. It was supposed to be ready to bottle tommorow but I cannot get the co2 out. I have used the whip with my drill and the mighty vac religously every day for 2 weeks. It just will not degas and I feel like I am...

    quick question on degassing wine

Ok how do you adapt the mighty vac to the carboy and what is the standard procedure to follow when using it. I am in my 14 day clearing stage and the instructions said that my wine would not clear if it wasn't degassed. I am going to take another sample tonight and check it.

    quick question on degassing wine

OK I will do it more Tom. I hop I didn't mess it up by shaking it so much

    Degassing issue

The instructions are at the bottom of my post at the Midwest site in PDF form. It was at the end of secondary fermentation at the clearing step that I did this step.

    Degassing issue

Ok tried to post for the first time and don't think it worked so if this is a duplicate just ignore the other one. Ok I'm new to wine making but am making this kit as my first one. I have followed the instructions to a T. Everything has went well until this degassing step. Everything read...
