I wonder how good some of these kids would be if they spent that time practicing on real instruments. In the game "rock band" they have a drum set and its essentially the same thing as a real one. I may be young, but I feel like everyone I know is completely spaced out on video games.

I started with a 5 gal glass carboy and moved to better bottles. They're easier to clean and not a huge health hazard.

Bottling buckets are intended to have the beer mixed with priming sugar before bottling. If you're just going to use carbonation drops the bucket is just one extra step that you don't need. I have heard from some folks that those drops leave some stuff behind. I've never used em, so I wouldn't know.

You won't want to use a spigot to transfer to secondary as the trub will flow right into your next vessel, thus defeating the purpose of secondary. You could get a filter bag to put on the backside of the spigot, but it would probably clog. You'll probably have some sediment in your secondary as...

I'm accustomed to a "shandygaff" which is 1 part ginger ale (get the good stuff) and 2 parts macrobrew (bmc) preferrably of the light variety. Crushed ice is good for this. I like to drink mine in the sun out of a very large canning jar.

I believe the intent is to *recycle* them when you're finished. The local dry cleaners just gives you a new metal hanger every time you use their services. Not that those aren't recyclable either. Green marketing is just that. Marketing. This has very little to do with intrinsic belief systems...
