Is there a way to run a chest freezer upside-down? Is it the compressor unit that needs to be upright? Maybe that can be rotated somehow so it runs properly flipped. Maybe you could then lay down foam, place your fermenter on it lower your freezer over it. May not be ideal to everyone, but...

I do 6 gal batches alot to split into 2 3gal batches to try different yeasts or add fruit or coffee to one or the other. I use 5 gal carboys for primary and 3gal carboys for secondary. Maybe do 3 gal batch so you dont have headspace in secondary?

Im sure someone doing lambics would love to take those off your hands.

They have it at the Addison 4 corner store. Pretty small town, we dont even have a post office, but we have Anchor! They also have it at all of the beverage warehouse type stores around Burlington & Middlebury. Where are you from?

I havn't tried the kit, but if I were to get it I would get the Wyeast american 1010 rather than the suggested yeast for the kit. I havnt tried the kit because I prefer german Hefes, UFO is good though and its local for me.

If you use framing lumber a 2x12 is already 1 1/2" x 11 1/4". Mine is made out of 3/4" cabinet maple plywood and it is fine. About 8" tall, and I agree that if the kegs are in there tight, it can be a chore to carefully put in the last couple kegs without getting them tangled in the lines...

I dont think it would come out as sweet as you might want. You may have to add some splenda to suit your taste. If you dont use any hops you wont need to do full 60 min boil either. 20 min or so should be fine.

This is kind of old, so probably solved by now, but one of my faucets has about the same showing for threads because the flat rubber washer that is normally in the back of the faucet was bad and it was replaced by an o-ring that was thicker than the washer wich didnt let the collar thread on all...

Definitely stop in winooski, very nice people & nicest shop I have been in around here. Its not south of burlington, its 1 exit north on 89. There is also a package store next door with a good craft selection.
