There you go. I knew 90 minutes was in there somewhere due to Pilsner Malts. The recipe I just did had both a 90 minute boil and a 90 minute mash.

    Go Big or Go Home

So I threw your recipe into Beersmith with my BIAB profile. With the recipe as is with 72% BH efficiency, I get the same gravity as the recipe shows. The mash time seems short. I would pump up to 90 minutes. I just brewed a Belgian and my understanding is with Pilsner Malts, you need to mash...

I agree, go with the published recipe. I use Beersmith for all my calculations, and I have not had to add to the grain bill either.

What do you use when you squeeze BIAB?

+1 hang and wring method. I brew in the basement (induction burner) and have a pulley over my brew bench. Very easy to just hold on the top of the bag and spin it both directions. Gets a little hot on the hand, but not bad.

    Keeping fermenter warm

depending what your fermentation vessel is, wouldn't a light bulb be bad for say a glass carboy?

    why did my bag clog?

I think you finally found out why smoking is bad for you...... Ok, do you have a false bottom or not? Is your bag being sucked into your valve?

    Pro & Cons of Conicals

Does a conical make better beer, who knows, but most commercial fermenters are giant conicals. I bought a FastFermenter for the convenience of kegging, yeast harvesting, and I believe the beer comes out cleaner. I don't believe it is any more effort to clean it out then a bucket and far easier...

My Ugly Junk- Corona Mill Station...

Every time I use my mill in a bucket, I laugh at the folks who paid hundreds of dollars for their 3 roller mills.

Belgian Golden Strong Ale Dirty Monk Belgian Golden Strong Ale

Went ahead and brewed this yesterday. Had to bring it upstairs, out of the basement, too cold down there to ferment a Belgian. Looking forward to trying this in a month.

Imperial Stout Russian Imperial Stout (2011 HBT Competition Category Winner)

Moved this off to a keg yesterday for it's six month aging journey. I needed my fermenter back. Had about a half gallon left after kegging. My father in law and I drank that half gallon, warm and flat. Can't wait for this to be done. It is already good.
