    Imperial Red? or something else?

GNO tend to make beer a bit cloudy, and you may have overshot the color a bit. I usually shoot for 12-15 for my Imperial Red, and that seems to work. Also, certain malts give off a red hue (crystal 40-90, melanoiden and Vienna come to mind). Looks like a hoppy English-type brown to me.

how often do you home brew?

I go to work, pick up my check, cash and deposit, then go online and buy ingredients and occasionally equipment upgrades. I get paid bi-weekly.

whats the worst brewing accident you have witnessed or been a part of?

I love the anecdotes involving drinking a little too much while brewing and everything going fine. Not me. I had one too many Pliny's one day and when I woke up, about six hours later, I found that I had dented the living hell out of my HLT pot and there was boiled-over wort everywhere. My...

What are some of the mistakes you made...where your beer still turned out great!

I mostly brew with spring water from the grocery store. It comes in 1gallon jugs and is pretty cheap, so I tend to use it for everything--mashing, sparging--whatever. During one of my first AG attempts, I overshot my sparge temp, and I was well in the upper 170s. I didn't want to add ice...

Do you enjoy brewing more than drinking?

One very simple solution is to send any beer you won't drink my way. I'll drink it. :rockin:

FT: Zombie Dust, Gumballhead ISO: Pliny, heady, others

I have a few bottles of the most recent DFH120min, and I'd love to get my hands on Zombie Dust and Gumballhead. Also, let me know what else you'd be looking for and I can check to see if it's available here or in Denver (I'll be there for work this weekend). Unfortunately, I cannot get RR stuff...

    Cheers from El Paso, TX

Hello, all. I'm a 22-year-old brewer from El Paso, TX. I've been brewing for a few years now, and I've just recently gone all-grain after about a dozen Partial Mashes. I've been lurking on these forums for about two years, and they've been very, very useful. I cannot express my gratitude...

    Show Us Your Label

Hello, all. I wanted to introduce myself, and also show you all the first label I've made. I've been downloading photoshop for 2 hours, so I did this online at picmonkey.com. I just went all-grain and this is my first all-grain brew. It's a variation of the Zombie Dust Clone on here, only...
