Pid Alarm user error or broken?

Yes the led comes on. I've tried both alarms "1 & 2"

Pid Alarm user error or broken?

Yep I have tried it with it just connected to 13 and 1. Having 14 and 1 tied together is how I've seen it on the diagrams so it does go off if either alarm is triggered.

Pid Alarm user error or broken?

Using Auber pid 2352 I just finished building a control panel and everything seems to be working correctly except when setting the alarm on the pid it doesn't trigger the buzzer that its connected to. Looking over and over at the wiring everything seems to be ok. I have hot connected to pin 13...

DIY Automatic HLT water fill sensor

Nice link. This looks very close to what I did but then also attached the water valve. I wish I had that diagram when building this.

DIY Automatic HLT water fill sensor

I finally came up with the sensor part of this project. After thinking a lot of what I can and should not put in the HLT I decided on a piece of wood with copper wire running down the side which completes the circuit to trigger the controller. I'm hoping the wood won't impart any flavor so test...

DIY Automatic HLT water fill sensor

Thanks for the link to that thread about PVC. It wouldn't get up to boiling temps only mashing but the hole idea with plastic leaching stuff out is a big deal to me.

DIY Automatic HLT water fill sensor

I set it up for 3-6 gallons because that's mainly what I use. It's pretty specific to my setup. I usually use 4-5g for mash and 5-6 for sparging. It's main intention was so I can set it to 5g and walk away since right now I watch it pretty close, and running through a filter it takes a bit of...

Show us your DIY stir plate!

Not a whole lot to it but it sure looks nice. :)

DIY Automatic HLT water fill sensor

My DIY water sensor control panel. For the last couple of weeks I have been working on a controller to automatically fill the HLT to a desired volume, then turn off and sound an alarm. At first it was going to be a old garden timer with an on off sensor for the power to the garden timer...

    EBCIII inspired eBIAB build

Do you have the schematics for the wiring? I'm starting something very similar and would love to see what your versions looks like.

110v Recirculating eBIAB 2.5 gallon batches

Yep the contactor shown is 30amp 120 and the ssr is 40 amp. The only thing I would add from P-J's diagram would be a 10 amp fuse to the pump. Here's the link for the element I ordered.http://www.patriot-supply.com/products/showitem.cfm/RHEEM_SP10874JH

Oh ok I didn't catch that part :)

My nickel and dime eBIAB build

Just a question since I'm pretty new to this as well but isn't 3500 watts going to be way more than 20 amps? I thought most people doing 120v with two elements plugged into two separate outlets on different circuits.

110v Recirculating eBIAB 2.5 gallon batches

I am planning on making a panel just like this except I will be using a 3000w 120v element, on a 30amp breaker. Would anything need to be changed in P-J's diagram or would it work out to be the same?

4500w Element on two 110 outlets

Sounds to me like they would be best friends if they could just sit down and have a homebrew together. :)

3000w 120volt element. Anybody use this?

The one that I found is a HWD. Have you found a LWD? Otherwise I'm just going to order it right now. Thanks for the suggestion.

3000w 120volt element. Anybody use this?

Do you think that would be a better option? I like the idea it's copper.

4500w Element on two 110 outlets

I guess stupid. This will teach me not ask questions. Thank you for your informative response.

3000w 120volt element. Anybody use this?

I came across a 3000 watt element that says it runs off 120 volt. There's a lot of talk on here about using two 1500 or 2000w elements for people using only 120v but does anybody use this instead? I know I it needs a 30amp circuit which I have so this might be a perfect match for me. I'll try...

4500w Element on two 110 outlets

    I believe it's 1.4 amps.
