    Snow Peak IPA

My humble comments: 1) I have no experience with Hop extract so No opinion 2) sounds good 3) this potentially leaves protein in the beer, not the type of hazy I would be going for. My bet is that it doesn't change much in appearance or taste from this anyways. 4) not sure if there is a benefit...

    Saison recipe?

I like to add 10% wheat, 10% rye and 5% sugar (to dry it out). Ferment warm/hot to get good esters (I like a yeast that produces fruity spicy notes) saaz is a great hop for any Saison. I would say no to carapils but my recipe calls for a 5% of C-35 (carastan) and it turns out really good

    Nastiest Fridge in History.

Please share you story! I had a freezer that went dead once for 6 month... full. It had a nice mixture of rotton turkeys, chickens, roast beef, ground beef, pork and there was a 1ft soup in the bottom. After much effort it got recycled

    Nastiest Fridge in History.

If a chicken decomposed inside the freezer and the juice got everywhere and it smells like dead bodys... you will never get the smell out. If it's just mould then it should come clean

    Guinness Draft Clone Recipe Questions

Good point Miraculix He isn't really mashing and sparging here so the roasted grains shouldn't get too harsh. I was the thinking the OP could add it late to the grain bag, maybe steeping 10 or 20 min and it would be less astringent and smoother.

    Guinness Draft Clone Recipe Questions

Not sure what is in your tap water. Is it hard or soft? Does it taste good? If it is on the softer side and tastes good then you should be able to use it. Spring water is fine too

    Guinness Draft Clone Recipe Questions

This is the recipe here? https://byo.com/recipe/guinness-draught-clone/ It seems to have errors for sure. At some point you have to add the roasted barley, I would assume with the other grains. I don't do partial mash, only full grain but I went ahead and plunked the recipe into brewtarget to...

IPA recipe troubleshooting? Old hops to blame?

Not enough late hops and a little to malty for the grain bill IMO. You could probably even add another 1-2 oz of dry hops. As an example my IPA (5.25g batch) usually has around 6 oz of later additions in the boil and 4oz dry hop. The grain bill will be mostly pils malt with maybe #1 vienna and...

How is this even possible (RESOLVED)?!

I would contact NB and show them pic of the finished brew... maybe they will send you a free kit?

How is this even possible (RESOLVED)?!

Roasted Barley is super black colored (as I am sure you know) The beer would be pitch black and very roasty flavoured if you used a whole pound of it
  14. beerlover77

How is this even possible (RESOLVED)?!

IMHO that picture you posted is not anywhere near a stout... they must ahve sent you the wrong kit. Where there roasted and/or chocolate malts included in this kit for steeping or is it 100% extract? *Edit - The instructions state that the kit comes with #1 of roasted barley to steep. Did this...

    Help selecting regulator

Tapright Dual body reg and 3 port manifold is what I have. Allows two different pressures at the same time (serving and force carbing etc...) and has A big plastic knob for easy adjustments. You can add a manifold off one side and feed as many serving kegs as you want while you force carb off...

Try 20, 5 and 0 min additions + at least 4 oz dry hop This is my IPA with citra and mosaic... it is amazing: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/lushjuice-ipa.643548/ *edit* I should try reading... I see now that you added dry hops below. It sounds like your hops somehow got Oxidised and...
