    Trying to build a stir plate, magnet slows fan down

    You need a metal barrier between the magnet and the fan coil, or it will mess with the magnetic field of the motor. The fender washer is a good idea. I used some random metal bracket I had. haze

    That is sweet. The spring loaded rollers were an awesome idea -- I wish I had thought of it. I just posted a thread about my peristaltic pumps; I went a completely different direction, but I like yours. Whats the flow rate? (sorry if it was posted earlier, I didn't see it.) haze
