For the PM version of this I used a 5 gal MLT cooler, and a large Grain bag. The next time, I used the 10 gal cooler MLT, with a stainless braid. I had no issues either time with sparging or efficeincy.

Why did you use 2 3/4" as the hole diameter? Why not 1 3/4 or 2"? Just curious. I don't have a 2 3/4 holes saw, and don't want to buy one if I can use one of my smaller ones.

Why did you mount the controller on the back? how do you change the temp easily? it look like you would have to move the kegger everytime you wanted to change the setting. Am I missing something?

When I was at the GABF this year I met some brewers from a small brewery in Wisconsin who did an IPA with Mango. IT WAS INCREDIBLE! I am going to try it.

My first AG was done the same way. I did Dude's Lake Walk Pale Ale in a 5 gallon cooler with a bag and it was the best beer I have made yet. Of course the 55% eff sucked. I am interested in how you managed 72%, cause I would love to get there.
