I use a Fresh Roast Coffee Roaster, it sells for $89. You can get it from Sweet Marias and they have a deal where you can buy it with green beans and get a discount. It's a good entry level roaster. I roast in an apartment and have no problems with the coffee smell. I love the smell!

My first brew lasted much, much, much longer than the first time with the other thang.

Congrats on your first brew! I have found that the people here are very helpful.

You could always get the prime tabs or carbonation drops. This would allow you to evenly dose the bottles and not worry about mixing up the beer with the trub.

You could also half the priming solution into the bottom of the bucket and midway through racking gently add the other half so that it mixes in more evenly.

Is it best to soak in hot or cold oxyclean for cleaning purposes?

Cheap Vodka. I use it in the airlock and I wipe it on the outside of my Wyeast packet before I open it. I love buying the cheapest vodka possible, the one I got now is in a plastic bottle.
