    Need advice on my wife.

This will be my last post on the subject, but here goes. By me saying I am the leader of our house, doesn't mean i subjugate anyone. That is just an erroneous conclusion you jump to. If all I say is "what do you want to do...yes dear...bow and scrape", my wife wouldn't be with me...

What to do with leftover rigid foam.

Gotcha. Good plan. For some reason I thought to build a box around it, but that is just me trying to use it all up. Why the crock pot liner bag? Is that to keep it waterproof?

Ha. I loved that. I have that same feeling.

What to do with leftover rigid foam.

I bought a big giant sheet of foam and planned on doulbing up the walls of my kegerator and fermentor. They are pretty efficient with the stained/poly'd wood color and 1 layer of the 1/2" sheet of foam. I have some wood, plywood, and a heck of alot of rigid foam left. Any ideas of what I can do...

    Need advice on my wife.

I suggested Floppy to get advice in another arena, not this forum which is turning into a pissing contest. I hope he can manage his marital problems and figure something out. Can't we all just get along.:mug:

    Need advice on my wife.

100% agree. Also you see things differently than she does. Sometimes the outside looking in prospective can be illuminating. Maybe when you drink, you don't pay her any attention for example. I do think that leaning on beer for stress relief is an issue into itself. I'd see if I could find...

Whoops, first time using the quote thing.

    Need advice on my wife.

My wife has an opinion, I have an opinion. We talk and do whats best for our family. Could be my way, could be hers, but she wants and expects me to be our family's leader. I apologize for sounding pompous, but I think Floppy should get advice from someone professionally. Beer forum is for...

    Need advice on my wife.

Geez, i just read the first couple pages of this thread then wrote my note and then checked the last couple. Wow. Asking for marriage advice on a beer forum, is probably not the way to go judging from some of these responses. Some folks think men need to sack up and show the woman who's boss...

    Need advice on my wife.

Well giving my 2 cents with about 3 years of marriage under my belt and about 27 years of observational skills. Floppy, i don't know your background or situation. You say you are a big dude, so I assume overweight. Kicking back a 6 pack of Miller Lites would probably hit me fairly well if i...

Where are the corny keg deals at?

Inflation sucks. I have bought all of my kegs for less than $30 each. 1 from a buddy. 2 from CL, and 3 on Black Friday from KegConnection. SWMBO doesn't know about them but I considered $28 each an investment that I couldn't afford to let go. Based on my viewings of freezers, keg shells, and...

    Top Recipes of HBT?

Thread that has the best rated/viewed/suggested recipes on HBT? I know BierMuncher's Centennial Blonde has been all over the place, but I was hoping that there might be a forum/thread/list of the best rated beer recipes. It could be from the most viewed/replicated or even which ones won the...

    Fermentation Chamber Heater Too Powerful?

I have the Lasko 200W heater and it works fine. Might be too much wattage, but i have it blasting into some bottles to diffuse the direct heat onto the carboy. It works great. May be overkill, but i could have made a light can heater for the price i paid. And i can take that heater into my...

    Kegerator or keezer project

I feel your pain. I started looking about 5 months back. Bought one is Seneca SC for $75 and it was huge. SWMBO hated it and I really didn't need one that could fit 9 kegs (but honestly, if you have space and a love for brewing...go big or home). Then i looked around and had 2 available in...

Too much beer.... Problem? Keg storing?

Thanks for the info. I should think of it as a secondary. I drink beer...fast. So its not a worry, but I love brewing and currently am limited on my brewing funds (SWMBO). But i find recipes i want to make ASAP, and if I decide to do 10 gallons, then my kegs are filled quickly. I think...

Too much beer.... Problem? Keg storing?

So you are saying to use sugar instead of CO2? Now that I have a kegging system, I have always thought to force carb, but if I am sitting my beers at room temperature, is force carbing overkill? I have a huge CO2 tank (inside kegerator), but I am pretty sure I don't have enough room if I move...

Too much beer.... Problem? Keg storing?

I have been splitting 10 gallon batches with a buddy, and I have 3 full kegs at the moment. I have 3 others that are empty. My kegerator is the only place i can really store the kegs at a cold temperature (except maybe the garage in the winter) and it holds at most 5 kegs. But... I have an...

    Kegerator or keezer project

I actually just finished my 2 tap keezer. You can probably do it for under $500 depending on how you want it to look and what you have. I did it all myself and was a NOOB at it, but it turned out nice. You can get a CL freezer for under $100 and the inside equipment for $250 (depending on...

Keezer Collar to Lid Help and Suggestions PLZ

I recently purchased two freezers from craigslist. One was a steal at $50 (looked nearly brand new) and one was not so much of a steal. The latter actually had the compressor taking up the entire length of the chest freezer and about 6-8 inches on the bottom. I would have walked away but I...
