    Hoegaarden = very disappointed

I would love to have a blind taste test of Hoegaarden pre and post InBev takeover. It's not one of my favorites but I did enjoy it at the beer garden at Bohemian Hall in Queens in the summers.

From a hotel restaurant menu in Utah.

    Got called a meth dealer...

The limit is only how much is exempt from excise taxes of $0.48 per gallon. Not sure who to give the check if I ever encounter such a situation... If you brew the federal maximum of 200 gallons you would owe them $72 that they would probably be very surprised to receive.

    Got called a meth dealer...

I moved from Queens to the Atlanta suburbs last year and have had some good times in Decatur at Farmstead 303 and the Brick Store Pub. I definitely would not prefer to live there to Peachtree City (just bought a golf cart recently), especially with a neighbor like that.

    Gotta love marketing...

Made of materials that occur naturally on the planet Earth. "Natural" doesn't have any of the constraints that "organic" does.

    WilliamsWarn Brew System

Don't you love how the actual homebrewer who posts is immediately set upon by snarky ********? I thought homebrewing was "sticking it to the man" and therefore respectable by the sophomoric gizmodo subset of the populace.

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

Those damn Canadians and their infernal logic.

Ever have a credit card number stolen???

Some of the stolen CC rings have so many numbers that they can have your card info for quite a while before anyone attempts to make charges on it. The result is that people do the same thing that happens every year with flu shots, a few people are already infected before they get the shot, but...

This is why I make my own beer! well, it's also fun..

I was flummoxed when I realized I couldn't buy alcohol on Sunday after I moved to Georgia, but now I realize they were just trying to keep me safe. Thanks Southern Baptists! Also prolonged contact with dihydrogen monoxide in the solid form can cause loss of limb or death. It's serious stuff.

How long can i dry hop?

I would also just leave it in primary for longer. When you're in Berlin, if you have to time I definitely recommend taking the very short train ride to Potsdam for a day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potsdam And stock up on bottles and glassware at Bier-Spezialitäten-Laden, Karl-Marx Allee 56...

    Red Stripe isnt too bad....

I know what you mean. Club Beer is pretty good in Ghana, but I wouldn't bring any home with me.

Look out, Miller Lite is now triple hopped.

I like the mountains that change color when it is too cold to taste what little flavor there is. Or is that one of their identical twins?

Look out, Miller Lite is now triple hopped.

A rep at a restaurant recently told me that Modelo is "slow malted" amongst other meaningless marketing phrases. I thought "oh yeah, well my beer is quadruple hopped." She also made a point to claim it was owned by Constellation Brands, because everyone knows conglomerates make the best brew...

    allergic to homebrew?

Did you resolve this yet? I heard a guy tonight say he was "slightly allergic to import beer." He should experiment with moving beers over national borders to isolate that. But seriously, you could try making homebrew with a higher flocculating yeast to see if that works out better for her.

When did turn signals become optional?

The waiting to turn left thing happens to me about once a week. I also hate when people change lanes in the middle of an intersection or stop at a yield sign on a ramp with a merge lane.

    What are you drinking now?

One of my dwindling first batch, going to have to brew this one again.
