    Opinions on Duvel?

I've only done their extract and mini-mash versions, but can share what's in them after I get home. The 2 lbs of honey is the thing that impresses most beer "civilians"

    Opinions on Duvel?

AHS's Devil's Brew, a Duvel-alike, is one of my go to brews.

    another of countless missed OGs

If you do, you'll still be breaking down the alpha acids in the wort, and I would expect it to have a detrimental effect on hop aroma and flavor.

A white girl served me my sushi

Being unhappy with the change is understandable, but other than that it's not much different than complaining that you were handed your taco bell order by a Lithuanian.

    Why boil before adding extract?

That too, I add most of my malt extract later when I want better hop utilization.

Uh oh... LOTS of head space after transfer to carboy...

That's a bit much, your beer isn't going to catch a cold. I only started brewing this year, myself, so I understand your abundance of caution, but keep in mind Westvleteren and others use open fermenters for primary and people have been making presumably decent beer long before anyone knew...

    Beer w/flip tops

Not sure if you're interested or able to have beer shipped to you, but Bierkraft has a French beer in a flip top for $49.95. They also some from Germany and Holland in the more reasonable $6 to $7 range. Halftimebeverage has some for as little as $4.50

    Beer w/flip tops

All of my flip top bottles have been brought back from Europe (Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands) and none of them are Grolsch. Can't think of (or spell) any of their names off the top of my head.
