Another Cornelius Keg Question - Gluing Handles back on

what would be an appropriate glue to reattach a loose cornelius keg top and bottom? I was thinking of using liquid nails project. Does anyone have anything they have used with success?

    Sweating Pipes

+1 on that. It is how I was taught and it worked for me when repiping half of the house I lived in before I moved to Minnesota. If you mess it up, you can heat it up, take it apart, clean the crap out of it with the emory cloth, or use a little drum sander on a dremel tool to remove all of...

    Poppet Valves

I had a challenger type poppet on the gas stem of one of my cornelius brand kegs out of 4 that I got in one order. It would hold pressure fine, but the poppet would not travel far enough to get the quick disconnect to latch on. Im not sure, but it may have been a longer type poppet crammed...

    1st All-grain: Fly or Batch?

    +1 for batch sparging

    Do these look crushed enough?

Bad idea? Never tried it, but I have had a stuck sparge due to grain that was ground too finely in a hand crank mill. My wife and I are coffee snobs and have a burr grinder, not one of those blade choppers that will change the flavor of the bean. It will do a very course grind that you could...

    Do these look crushed enough?

I'm not sure if I'd volunteer to do that again to save a couple of bucks, but It's good to know it will work in a pinch.

    Do these look crushed enough?

here is the pics, warning pics are huge: The first attempt, about two handfulls - DSCN0862.jpg two minutes in I started doing one cup of grain at a time - DSCN0876.jpg The finished batch about 45 min later - DSCN0878.jpg

    Do these look crushed enough?

I just crushed one bag for a nut brown ale and it worked out pretty well. Took 45 min. I'll post some pics later after I do the IPA grain. I've been corresponding with someone from NB who has been very helpful and is making it right. They were appreciative of the pictures I sent and have...

    Wow... what a winter

I'm originally from Atlanta, GA and have never really seen "snow." So when I moved to Rochester, MN last year I didn't know what to expect. In GA, when there is a hint of snow every one panics, schools close and people drive 5mph if it even starts to flury. I did a contract job in Minneapolis...

    Do these look crushed enough?

I've got permission from my wife, since this is hers...and since I'm the only one that really cooks...to use this: should get a good workout :) EDIT: I'm wondering if my rolling pin attempt will work at all...or just make a huge mess

    Do these look crushed enough?

there is some powder at the bottom of the bag. They do look like they have been crushed, but not what I was expecting. I did order the grains from NB, but I have also been to their store and have run grain that I measured through their motorized grain mill, which gives a much finer milled grain...

    Do these look crushed enough?

My SWMBO says they look cracked to her and that she read somewhere that all you need is to crack them open. She usually is able to keep me from panicking. I still may get out her rolling pin and crush them...it may work out some frustrations...

    Cornelius Keg poppit valve question

:( Looks like I'll be ordering poppet valves. The one odd poppet isn't working out. Although it seals, it won't depress enough to get the quick disconnect on. Ugh. I could modify it with a dremel, but think it will be better in the long run to jus order new ones...

    Do these look crushed enough?

links fixed. This may be an issue where I am use to something comming off a grain mill like a crankenstien and these may have been processed in a different way. I'm waiting on a response from where I purchased them. On a positive note, they definatly don't look like I'll get a stuck...

    Do these look crushed enough?

Warning the pics are big I'm wondering what others think, is it crushed enough? I'm going to use a rolling pin on this grain before brewing I think. http://www.robertandcathy.com/images/DSCN0858.jpg http://www.robertandcathy.com/images/DSCN0860.jpg ...edited because the links...

Moving to St. Louis, Best Neighborhoods?

I can do the fixer-upper thing and would love a historic house, just want to make sure if I put in the work I'm going to actually gain value on the house. My previous (the practice house) I lost a good bit of money when it sold, but I did learn a ton... We have a rental now (Rochester, MN) and...

Moving to St. Louis, Best Neighborhoods?

My wife and I are headed to St. Louis this weekend. She has a meeting with her new employer and then we are off to look at a couple of houses. I have only been to St. Louis once in my life and that was a few months ago. I didn’t get to see much outside of the pet friendly-hotel we were...

Where to buy CO2 in SW CT?

Try a fire safety place, the type that services fire extinguishers. I'm not in CT, but the only place in Rochester, MN I found after much calling, that didn't want me to trade in my shiny new tank was a fire saftey place. $25 for a 10lb fill.
