What are some cool ways that brewers can use Google Wave?

I also have like 10 or so google wave invites if people are interested. Send me an email at [email protected] if you'd like one.

Official 2009 Pay it Forward Thread!

Oh, I was not crying...more lamenting the lack of teleporters, not the cost of shipping.

    Grain Infographic

Yeah, I'm basically taking that information and going to format it more visually. I actually have an idea on how I plan on doing this so unless anyone has any additional information they think would be helpful to display I'm going to start working on this tonight after SWMBO goes to bed...

    LHBS Pet Peeves

I must be pretty lucky then. I have two LHBS to choose from, one is pretty subpar I think, but the other is actually Northern Brewer so I don't even have to pay the $8 flat shipping. The place is like 10 minutes from my work.

Official 2009 Pay it Forward Thread!

When are they gonna get teleporters working? It's too bad that the shipping of that one pound of crystal 60 is more than it would be for me to just go buy a pound at my LHBS.

    Cyber Monday

That one from lowes seems like you'd be stuck using that pot as the burner comes up and stabalizes it. If a 35qt Aluminum pot is what you wanted it does seem a better option than the bayou but I'd be curious if a different Stainless Steal pot would fit on there, since the pot itself appears...

    Grain Infographic

is there a way to quantify the sweetness or lacing? Otherwise I'd just have to denote which grain did or didn't add that character.

    Grain Infographic

Yeah, I'd be more than up to do doing the art if I could get help with the categories. I've done a bit of Photoshop/Illustrator work before and feel I could do something similar. I'd be happy to post it here as a PDF if people were interested.

    Grain Infographic

I'm a visual person, and just found this infographic about hops and was curious if there was something similar out there about Grains? Not really sure what info it would show (SRM, etc?) but just curious if anyone has seen anything out there like this; http://zekeshore.com/hops_v1.12.png...

20 Things Worth Knowing About Beer

EDIT I did forget to mention, there are some slightly **** things on there, or at least on the site. Well depending on your job and so forth. Use your own judgement. First off, I didn't create this, but this site creates really fantastic infographics and they just did one on Beer...

    Cyber Monday

I've been keeping an eye on my local Craigslist for a Turkey Fryer now that T-day is over. I may have just found one today. Waiting to hear back.

    Timetable rant

I would assume they're there for legal reasons. As stated above, ferment until done, probably wouldn't fly. Notice how microwave dinners now have minimum temp listed in the directions? If I cared enough to actually have a food temp at work I probably wouldn't be eating frozen crap eh?

Trendy, hip, cutesy, beer name rant

oh man, I just came up with what I think is a trendy name for my beers a few days ago. I'm going with Cryptid Brew, based on the root wood of Cryptozoology (the study of animals that can't be proved by science) so all the beers will be based of those. El Chupacabra, Bigfoot, Nessie, jackalope...

Into the pot she went - Honey Chamomile Wheat

I've never thought of reusing the grain, but wouldn't most of the nutritional value be drained out by the sparging?

Just bottled a beer I have little hope for...

I'm doing this same thing tomorrow. It's my second batch of beer, and was an all-grain attempt at a jalapeño something or other. I went pretty far off the recipe and it just didn't seem to ferment that well. On the plus side, I brewed up the Two Hearted clone that's on this forum and it smells...

    Efficiency For Dummies

I just wanted to also thank BobbyM for his description. I've recently started brewing, and that answered quite a few of the questions I had.
