We no need no stinking beer gun...

Here Here. I couldn't agree with him more. We'll get those corny sales up yet...soon even the bottlers will be kegging. Anybody carb their beer outside of the fridge/keezer to do this? I know it takes a bit more, but I just keep running low on fridge space. Man I need somebody to help me drink...

    Show me your wind shield/screen

That's what I'm talking about. Is the shield notched to accomodate the burner stem or does it sit on top?

    Show me your wind shield/screen

Actually it's not. The sandwiching on the bottom has rusted/eroded and now the bottom shoots shrapnel whenever I brew. One of the handles has fallen off (long before I got it) and the other one has been shoddily spot welded back on. That's why I want to get rid of it, but I figured I'd put it to...

    Show me your wind shield/screen

I'm obviously in need of a wind screen for my two burners on my stand. The place where I brew is in a bit of a suburban wind tunnel. I have an old SS pot that I'm getting ready to retire. As it already has holes in it, I'm thinking of just carving it up into two wind shields. Here's my pot, let...

    Attn. All High Gravity Brewers

I had great success with a similar technique. My barleywine 1.114 crapped out around 1040 as well. I got it down below 1020 with this technique.

Done. Let me know when it's happening. I might even bring a film crew.

My Super Efficient 5-Gallon Mash Lauter Tun

Might work...but you'd have to bake it somehow, and I'm not sure it would hold a vaccuum. But that just depends on how much pressure we're talking about here...

My Super Efficient 5-Gallon Mash Lauter Tun

This would require a sealing lid on all three vessels if I got it figured correctly. Sounds like kind of a pain to me, but cool to see new things showing up...

My Super Efficient 5-Gallon Mash Lauter Tun

Did this ever happen? Or anything close to it? I'm going to be looking to design a new MLT soon and was wondering if there was ever anything to say about it...

    Yuri's Brew Yurt (Hut)

Shouldn't Yuri's Brewshed be built from the hull of a decommissioned fighter jet?

    New Beer Stand

Wow I was less intimidated when the pictures were smaller. That looks like a really sweet rig for a really really low price.

    HBT Comps?

I would certainly participate...Would the judges all have to be members? As long as a few of them were...I think this competition will have to be fairly narrow...I was a big fan of the Brewbubbas Big Beer Brewoff idea. There was a minimum OG of 1.080 for the competititon. That'll get those judges.

No more glass for me ...PIC..

I love my glass carboys. They also very rarely leave the milk crate. I'm actually trying to figure out a good way to strap them in so that even inverted, they won't fall out. (Think Carboy Dryer with straps) I do have an older 5G one that belonged to my uncle that has these stress fractures in...

    New Beer Stand

*Fixed that for you. Seriously it looks really good. If I put my nose against the screen and squint a little bit. This feels like trying to watch porn on the squiggly channel. "Is that a march pump? I don't know, I can't tell, but I think I'm excited. Oh damn, it's just the cat."

Using a pasta maker to mill grain.

Dr. Frankenstein Reporting... It's nearly complete. I only need to fabricate a hopper type contraption and it will be done. It started out as a thing of beauty and quickly went the way of the other grain milling thread. I'll post some pics when it's done, and not a moment before. I kept telling...

Using a pasta maker to mill grain.

Has anybody used the preexisting holes to mount their hoppers into? I'm thinking with some light gauge sheet metal I might be able to mount a hopper right to the existing frame with little modification. Of course, I still want to take the base off and mount it to a board somehow...One day I'll...

We no need no stinking beer gun...

I was capping them as quickly as possible. I filled about 3 then capped them. Repeat. A lot. Is this not necessary?

I just got emailed a 40% off coupon from Michaels. I think it's a sign.

    Bottling Tips for the Homebrewer

It's a 2. On two different bucket taps I've tried. 2 also fits a beer bottle nicely.
