Monday(yes, that's actually after the weekend :P ) I'm making my own Double IPA again. 5 gallons this time. It's dryhopped with Cascade and Amarillo.
So far the reviews have been very good. Not just my own reviews of course, but of beer drinking friends and some random strangers I mailed the...
I think that's going to be quite expensive, especialy including shipment.
Like you said, beer in Sweden is already expensive(particularly against Belgian/Dutch prices).
I make a habbit of it to not pay 10 euros a beer ;)
Sad, but true. And I think the Westvleteren there was 12 or 14 euro's a bottle. I pick it up myself twice a year at the abbey itself.
"De Man van Drank" in Rotterdam (Hoogstraat) has a nice selection of US beers nowadays and I imagine the Bierkoning in Amsterdam has some as well.
Dunno about...
No, The Netherlands :)
But from what I gathered there was one final shipment sent a while ago and that shipment is running out fast. I imagine it'll be the same for other European countries.
Bertus Bierhuis?

Good idea, will do. Although I was told by one of my beershops and they supposedly heard it from the distributor :P
And I actually thought I had read the same news here on HBF but searches don't give me anything. Maybe it's all just rumours..and in my head :P
Hi there,
a little while I heard news that the Great Divide Brewery would stop exporting it's beer to Europe(along with another brewery). Reason begin they wanted to supply the US first which is already hard for them since demand grew.
Is it true? Anyone have an article? I recall reading...
Yes, I know that "over time" that happens :)
What is "over time"?
I wouldn't say that a beer has lost "most" of it's aroma and flavour in 6 months after botteling, which was claimed.
Hi there,
I was having a little discussion about my newly bottled Double IPA.
It's going to be tasted at a contest at the end of May, start of June(so 6 months away) and some guy said that by then I would have lost most of the hop flavour and smell.
Now, I'm thinking to myself that...
