    Adding flavor?

:drunk: I would love to taste it, just for the fun of it. But not living in the States, that's not going to happen :P But doubt it's going to be a beer I'd drink regular :ban:

    Adding flavor?

Okay, dry hopping is usually adding extra hop in the secondary fermentation stage. It's basically adding hops/spices/herbs/anything to the carboy after the main fermentation is done. To me it seems you have a lot to learn about your first brew. My suggestion is: if you had some beer with the...

    Adding flavor?

What the hell, that sounds disgusting :cross: That said, I think it's quite awesome if you can actually get all thoses flavors in a beer, just for the fun of it.

I got one in the can!

To a certain extent I think you are right. However, there's metal and there's metal. Most of they time beer is fermenting in stainless steel. Which is different from cans. Cans are lined(as mentioned above) but that lining doesn't stant the test of time. So yes, for (lets say) a year, that's...

    What are you drinking now?

Troubadour Magma - fantastic! It should be big in the USA.

    Adding flavor?

I guess the lack of response indicates that people don't like minty flavors in their beers, like me :p I would suggest finding some spearmint leaves and dry"hopping" with them(apart from not using them at all ;) ) As far as "adding any flavors at all" I can say this: do you mean flavors or...

I got one in the can!

Hang on! But cans give off a metally taste! I agree it doesn't let in any (sun)light but that's a matter or storage. However, a lot of cans give the beer a certain (after)taste. I would still opt for bottle any day of the week.

    What are you drinking now?

Right now, my own IPA :) It's fantastic. I didn't know I was able to copy my previous attempt(which sold 60 bottles). So I'm a very happy customer.

    Commercial APAs without Cascade?

I'm sorry. I thought you asked: "Are they all coming FROM here" But you didn't :P I have no idea if they are all shipped to the US but I'm sure there's ways to get them.

    gypsum??

Over here the philosophy is that if you don't know what you're doing(when it comes to water treatment)...then don't do it at all.

    Commercial APAs without Cascade?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but Sam Adams is Bostonian. The HOPS aren't all American..but that's irrelevant.

    Say whut? Why?!?!?!?!
  16. N

    Commercial APAs without Cascade?

Perhaps true, but Mikkeller is a foreign brand and Sam Adams is about as American as it gets. That DOES make a big difference :) And not unimportant: import taxes.
