    Synergy Metalworking Single Tier Stand

I realize this thread is somewhat old, but considering the synergy system, but also concerned about distance to the midwest (shipping / support). Anyone have any other suggestions in the same prices range say 1800-2500? It seems that keggle brewing is now longer around?

    Issues with Nitro

Ok one last question. I just legged a really nice irish red ale that I would like to put on nitro in short time. My newer process is carb at 1.5 PSI on co2 for about a week while the beer is at 37ish degrees. I do this before putting on nitro and the results have been decent. I would however...

    240v or 120v

May I ask what 3000W element you are using, kinda a hard one to find in a screw in application?

    240v or 120v

I found this element on Amazon, its a 3000w Amico and it looks like it attaches by sandwiching vs a screw type. Any use one of these? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008IBM2XQ/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

    240v or 120v

So I haven't bought the element yet, but with a 20A 240v circuit I was assuming 2500w should be enough? Should I be looking at low density?

    Heating Element Mounting Igloo?

Well let me ask you this, Since I didn't build it yet, should I? Am I better off going in a different direction? What are the drawbacks of this design? I brew currently every 1 to 2 weeks, so it will get used a lot. And being that I'm in the midwest the more I can do without the garage door...

    Issues with Nitro

So now that I have the perfect blend of carbing with conjunction of pressure I beginning to realize mixed beergas does not give you the milage CO2 does. I going through a 5LB tank in less than one corny. Does this sound right? Basically is its like a 1$ of gas per pint at the moment.

    Heating Element Mounting Igloo?

May I ask what element you were using, Camco? Do you recall the height of the element? Thanks

    240v or 120v

So I picked up the one from Menards but may return it if the consensus is the version from Home Depot is better and tried-n-true. I did notice my wires are only 12g so the most I can run is 20a even though the Spa Disco is rated for 50a. I suppose it's not an issue since the breaker in the box...

    Heating Element Mounting Igloo?

Yeah thought about staging all of my water upfront but was unsure if after a 90min mash I would still have the temp where I would need it. I suppose worst case I waste some filtered water.

    Heating Element Mounting Igloo?

Ok, I have an 10 gallon Igloo cooler that I picked up for the purpose of converting into an electric HLT. I typically brew 5-6 gallon batches at time with no intention in the near future of doing 10 gal. most of the designs I have seen up till now have the hot water element mounted vertical in...

    240v or 120v

Based on the feedback thus far thinking better to start off with 240 v then have to rebuild my HLT to later to support it. Thanks for the suggestion on the SPA disconnect. This is what I found near me at local big box store. I think it will work what do you think DeafSmith...

    240v or 120v

Ok, I presently have 240v service in my garage which is where presently brew. My intent for now is build a electric HLT and maybe a year or two out perhaps an electric kettle. But the question at hand is 240v or 120v and the reason I ask is this. A 30A GFCI breaker which is in my opinion is...

    The 200$ question

Picked up an upright freezer for 80$ (Montgomery Wards Deluxe Edition) and a stc-1000 temp controller for 23$ on eBay. I'm trying to determine what is the best approach is for heating the chamber in the winter in Chicago either heat lamp or heat pad? Temps in my garage will drop to 10 to 15...

    King Kooker

    The 200$ question

Thanks, just located a standup freezer that should accommodate 2 primary's and 2 secondaries for about 100$. So with that said definitely going the fermentation chamber route. Probably go with the STC-1000 for a temp controller. I have one now and I'm fairly happy with it plus it can heat and...

    The 200$ question

All grain, 10 gallon brew pot not ball valve basically just muscle the wort through a strainer into a 6.5 gallon carboy. Wort chiller is an immersion chiller. Also just outfitted with a water filter system.

    The 200$ question

I do a lot of stouts and pub ales. My current tap tower is mainly setup for nitro/beergas and my keezer is too small for carboys. My current fermentation setup is basically just a cold spot in a my basement which is about 72ish in the summer and mid to low 60s in the winter.

    The 200$ question

I have about 200 bucks in Amazon gift cards and are thinking what my next upgrade or addition should be to the home brewery. Really want to go bang for the buck. This is what I have it narrowed down to. * New mash tun 10 Gall " My current one is a 10 year old cooler and waivers about 4...
