    Stainless Camlocks review

Brewmoor, from what I have gathered maximizing the flow stems from the desire to whirlpool at the end of your boil. I have read here that restricting the flow can alter the results of the trub cone you get from whirlpooling. I have not personally confirmed any of this as I am in the building...

    Stainless Camlocks review

Hey Weirdboy, any luck finding those adapters? I think they are spendy if you can find them. I think you need to find high flow ones and I can't seem to find anything in stainless. I have found this...

Josh, you are a saint amongst homebrewers. thanks so much for your advice and answers. All is beginning to fall into place for me, just yesterday I met a local homebrewer that can weld Stainless, has a connection for cheap metal and is about to take the same step as me by building his first...

    DIY Interwoven "Rib-Cage" Immersion Chiller

Quan, thanks so much for your history and practical advice. What you says makes much sense. And after reading my question again I begin to wonder how late I should be staying up or how much sleep I should be allowed to loose before I ask any more questions. LOL!!! I appreciate ya, thanks...

    DIY Interwoven "Rib-Cage" Immersion Chiller

Hey any of you folks out there whirlpooling with one of these? Does it affect the formation of the trub cone? I am going to be building my chiller soon and like the looks of this design but want to recirc/whirlpool. What is the word rib cagers? Anyone whirlpooling do you still get a cone?

My new brew system, a brutus 10 with some nice modifications

Howdy folks, quick question for the electrically impaired. I am beginning my build and like this design/set up with the auber/honeywell PID's and gas valves. I am sure that I can assemble this if I had all the parts in front of me, but have a purchasing question. What type of transformer would...

    Stainless Camlocks review

Ghart99, my thoughts exactly. sounds like many folks like the elbow 1) as a handle to push with and 2) to help avoid kinks in your tubing. 3) there isn't a ton off thread there to clamp on to. I think if you are careful with your tubing lengths you can avoid the kinks without an elbow and...

    Stainless Camlocks review

one more question, would the coupler side of this equation not have enough room to close the levers if you threaded it into a 3 pc ball valve?

    Stainless Camlocks review

Wow, this is amazing I was getting ready to drop near $400 on More Beer's SS Quick Disconnects and figured there had to be something cheaper. Why do you need the street elbow? Couldn't you just make a barb out of the threads on these camlocks? Or is there not enough to grab?

Anyone using Low Pressure Small 6" Banjo burners

It is not an SQ14, those have a 10" diameter, what I am inquiring about is the 6". But you are correct in that looks wise they appear to be identical. Yours is the high pressure 10" and I am curious about its little brother rated at about half the BTU's Any help would be great, thanks......

Anyone using Low Pressure Small 6" Banjo burners

Amigos, I like many am in the planning phase of my brutus single tier and wondering about the 6" low pressure Banjo Burners. Anyone out there have any experience with them? I don't see much listed in the forums. They are rated to about 60K btu, so that means they likely burn more at...

Anyone using Little Giant 2-md pumps?

Hey anyone out there using the little giant 2-md pumps? I am building up a brutus 10 system and will be using an immersion/recirculating chiller. I am curious to hear from people who have used this 2-MD model as it is only rated to 150 F for liquid temps. I keep hearing that "really only...

Dude, Now that is my kind of wiring diagram. thanks for "throwing" that together. I am thinking your system is worthy of cloning for my purposes and budget. Wonderful information for me. This was the part of the Brutus I was most worried about and now it just doesn't seem that bad. Also...

My new brew system, a brutus 10 with some nice modifications

I am just in the beginnings of Brutalizing my brewery. I have just moved across the country and had to split my old brewing set up with my brew-bro that I had bought everything with. I kept the SS conical and he kept the rest. Now that I have the chance to rebuild from square one I am looking...
