really basic, really cheap, really loving it.

Ive found that the ratio of 1 can of AJC per gallon of juice is a nice ratio. if you start with the 96oz jugs of apple juice then it all fits in a gallon carboy :)

Best type of sugar to add during fermentation for flavour

"flavor" is subjective depending on what you are looking for. Most sugars will strip away apple flavor. Personally, I like apple flavor so I use Apple Juice Concentrate if I want to boost abv

    Fermenting in plastic bottles

Clear plastic juice bottles are usually PET (most clear plastic bottles are in fact, including 2L coke bottles) which is the best plastic to ferment in. Air permeability is very very close to zero. I frequently will buy a 1gallon jug of apple juice, pour a little off the top, pitch in some...

$6 organic cider, already in carboy, whole foods

Do you guys pour the juice out and sanitize the container before pouring it back in? Or do you just add your yeast and go? (newbie here) oh and btw, if your stopper just barely wont fit on it like some people have said, you can take an exacto or sharp utility knife and cut a little bit...
