Question about hop schedule for my first IPA

Same exact yeast! Maybe I'll stick with the hop schedule. I was iffy about it being I don't have a secondary. Should I just dry hop in primary?

Question about hop schedule for my first IPA

I'm really excited for this IPA being for 2 reasons. 1. It's my third batch and it seems like I've learned so much from the first two. 2. It's part of my gift to my groomsmen. Giving them some home brew and their own personalized beer mug.

An idea about keeping fermenter cool

Well I have enough room for that, I just didn't want to deal with all the water in the tub. I'm thinking son of fermentation chiller. Good on the electric bill, small, seems viable to me.

An idea about keeping fermenter cool

The idea is to keep frozen bottles in the pouches. As long as the material stays damp, I'm thinking it should stabilize the temp if not cool it down. I'm no genius but it seems like it would work, and be very convenient.

An idea about keeping fermenter cool

Ok, I live in a apartment, so space is definitely not a luxury. Anyways, I know a lot of people use swamp coolers. I was thinking of someway I could save on space. I came up with this idea. Make some type of wrap for the 5 gallon fermenter out of a material that can hold a good bit of water...

    First finished beer

So I made the amber ale from Midwest supplies. Bottled conditioned for a month. The beer tastes pretty good for the first attempt. There's a few things that I can definitely improve on. Thanks to everyone on this forum, I am now addicted!

    Secondary bucket too big?

I just realized that my bucket may be too big for a secondary. I have a pumpkin ale in the primary right now and want to move it to secondary to clear out all of the pumpkin. Unfortunately I only have my 6.5 gallon buckets. 1. Is the bucket too big to use...too much head space? 2. Should I...

Speed Response Needed II -- Punkin Ale

Wow that's pretty high, your probably you going to have to leave it ferment longer. Is this a kit? Or was it a recipe you found and put together? Yeh the spices should be ok. I took a reading tonight and got about 1.012. So I baked 2 30oz cans of pumpkin with a little more brown sugar and...

Autumn Amber Ale from midwest. 1st time.

Well you may have only noticed the airlock bubbling for 12-18 hrs, so did mine. That doesn't mean it's done fermenting. Give it about 2 weeks in the fermenter and take a hydrometer reading. Wait another 2-3 days and take another. If the numbers are the same then generally it means it's done...

Speed Response Needed II -- Punkin Ale

Actually I just put 60oz of pumpkin in the primary. Baked the 2 30oz cans at 350 for 30 mins with some brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice on top, let it cool to about 80, dropped it in and then wrapped the fermenter with a wet towel and ice packs to sustain the temp. Prior to adding the...
