Homebrew hangovers worse than with BMC?

I'm still a noob, (so maybe that explains it) but I never feel right depleting my stash of quality homebrew to get a strong buzz going. Don't drink enough of it to get a hangover. That's what commerical, store bought beer is for.

    Step two complete!

My wife has a short, fancy Tommy bath robe that closes with velcro. She hasn't noticed that's it's missing from the bathroom and around my carboy in the closet :)

Three Strikes and I'm Out. Why no Carb?

Well, my first batch I bottled straight from the primary and it carbed in a week. Since then I've been using a secondary and it has taken 3 weeks to get optimal carbonation. My advice is to be patient. It should work out fine. The yeast will need just a little more time to get the work done...

    Shiner Bock

Well, it's probably pretty old by the time it gets up to WI. Shiner is one of those beers where you have to drink it within a certain "window". It goes skunky quickly, IMO.

For those who have ordered from AustinHomeBrew

I've ordered a few kits from AHS. Great supplier. The basic "extract" kit comes with hops, LME and steeping grains. Don't worry about trying to find a bag for the grains as they supply one (hell, they even ship the grains IN the bag). Some kits don't have the specialty steeping grains...

    First Time Brewer!

Ditto :) Let's see, I guess I have my 5th batch in the secondary right now. Done an EPA, Mexican amber, Russian Imperial Stout, American Wheat and a Double IPA. Nothing too fancy but loving the new hobby. I either brew out in my driveway or out by my friend's pool who lives in North Dallas.

    New here, quick intro inside

Welcome to the best, and most rewarding, hobby I've ever found. Well, it's tied with taking my bass boat out every weekend.....

    First Time Brewer!

Why do you want to add more corn sugar than what came with your kit? Do you only have one bucket? If so, I'd probably invest in a bottling bucket with a spigot as it makes it much easier to fill bottles from, and it allows you to rack the beer off of the yeast sediment in the primary...

Redneck women that will wade out and fish in a bikini probably don't drink real quality beer....

Bottle drying tree and rinsing tray

Mine don't fit together either, doesn't even look like they're supposed to when everything's out of the box. I just set it on the counter next to the bottle tree.
