Austin Texas Bulk Grain Buy - Over for 2009

No fancy pics ('cause my haul isn't that impressive at only 220#), but I wanted to say thanks for all those that participated and/or organized the buy. Everyone's efforts will make my brewing much cheaper this year. It was great to meet everyone and enjoy some tasty brews. Many thanks :tank...

    Show us your Kegerator

Here's mine. Nothing fancy, just a free fridge and three taps with room for carbing one more and storing a few bottles. This one was taken when I had only kegged two batches.

Austin Hill Country Homebrew get together

Sounds like fun! Unfortunately, I'll have to miss this one  Some of the brewers from the hills to the west are heading to the Fredericksburg Brewery for dinner that night. We'll try to catch up with y'all next month!

I picked up some goodies the other day so it's my turn to return the favor. I have ten feet of 3/8" clear tubing for racking beer, etc. It's Tygon R-3603 lab tubing to be specific. Just shoot me a PM with your shipping address, and it is yours. ten feet of 3/8" clear tubing - Gone: hcarter...

Where did you find a 1/2" copper compression fitting locally? I've been to both the HD and Lowes in BeeCave and couldn't find one.

Favorite Beer you buy to save the bottles?

This is why I try and use bottles from Real Ale Brewing Co. in Blanco. Plus, the labels come off very easily with a soak in warm water. I also like to use Sierra Nevada bottles 'cause the beer is very tasty.

Where should I buy a kegging kit from?

I've purchased all of my kegging equipment from kegconnection. I first bought a single tap refrigerator conversion and later upgraded to three taps. I live about 45minutes from their office, and both times I've ordered the soemone with staff was willing to meet me to deliver my order. Not only...

Real Ale Brewing Company (Blanco, TX)

1+ The Rye Pale Ale is my favorite "full-time" beer from this brewery for many of the reasons Yuri mentions. However, I really enjoy there seasonal offerings. Besides the roggenbier, their coffee porter was right up my alley. Yuri, if you decide to take the tour and want some company send...
