    how do you guys heat your fermenter?

    I use one of those oil-filled heaters that wal-mart sells. I set it up in a spare closet and put my fermenter in there and monitor the temp with an indoor/outdoor thermometer. I just put the "outdoor" remote part in the closet.

    Read through the entire thread. It took me a few days to read ti all but I picked up some little tidbits that applied to how I do things. Never know, you may pick up a tip or two.

    Attack of the Chocolate Lager. Brewed: November 29, 2010 Bottled: January 30, 2010 You should have called it "Back in time Chocolate Lager". :) I like them though!

    f you are worried about it, just throw a hand towel over the airlock. Or you could even place a "tupperware" (colored plastic) cop over the airlock.

    I have everything to make a batch of this except for hop/grain bags. I will pick them up tomorrow and start this in a few days. I am following the original recipe and will be using Amarillo hops.

    Easy Stove-Top Pasteurizing - With Pics

    I am looking to make my first batch of cider but not sure of a good recipe. My project for this weekend is to make a basic fermentation cabinet. I might pick up ingredients for a cider. Pappers - What recipe do you use for your cider?
