I like it. Thanks for the pics. I had issues with my hose connects from H.D. Every time they got torqued a little bit they leaked. That 3/4" with the valve is pretty slick.

Me three. But can you build a wooden fermenter? A big water tight square box made from some old non resiny salvaged wood. Silicone the seams, make it tight and right. Some how sanitize it. Some one do it, then i'll do it if it works. Ha.

I also drank my yeast starter. It was in the fridge in a big clear beer bottle, the yeast was collecting on the bottom. Looked like a home brew. Wondered why it was so flat.

"Brewed" a ryepa. Doubled the rye, used tons of rice hulls, everything got REALLY gummy. Way stuck sparge, had to empty both my maxxed out mt's and kind of mini batch sparge. Took forever. Then the filter on my bk got slow and gooey, took forever to pump through the chiller. Got flustered forgot...

Holy crap. I don't even know what alot of that means, I've never been given a benefit in my life. I'm a remodeler, so i make my own schedule. I can take time off as much as i want, but don't make any money if i'm not phsyically working. I've learned how to plumb, wire, frame, build cabinets...

I dub this thread revived. I love this set up, so simple. This is the direction my basement brewery is headed. Thanks for posting all of the great info and pics.

I agree. DFH is pushing the boundries, i respect that its not easy taking those kinds of risks, but lord have mercy some of his beers are a challenge.
