Came across this and gave it a try. Replaced my regular breakfast with this drink as a experiment. Worked well, tasted great, butter and coconut the main flavour and coffee takes a back seat, at least with the Costa Rica I used.
Personal taste realy. I love my Costa Rica Tarrazau and Peruvian, great Body. The Java Pip Estate im drinking right now has nice full body, very smooth. All City Roast.
I decided to do a complete video of roasting the coffee, easier then staring into the popper with sheaf and heat blowing into my face :)
Ethiopian Harrar.
Roasting varies allot depending on the day and such from local power consumption, gave up on timing a while back due to that so rely on color...
Happy New Year!!
With all those fancy expensive gismoes, I found the priority is the color, if you don't see the color then you don't know how its going to turn out, thats why I love the popper, yes too bad its limited to 3oz and I have to wait 5min between roast so the unit does not burnout...
For the little I have read, its like making cold brew coffee, no special equipment required, bucket/glass carboy. Might try it myself, just have to see if I have any hops. I wouldn't go with a kit.

I always roast outside as long as its above -5c, tried with air filter system in the kitchen but the smoke alarm still gets set off.
I just leave the lid on the mason jars loose so they can have the gases escape, as I rotate per day I tighten them so basically their loose for five days...
