    What are you drinking now?

Lime Clamato and Faxe Extra ale. A refreshing sip after getting my WCIPA into the keg! Should have bought more. :mug:

    What are you drinking now?

Oh man, Mooseheads. It might still be the last independent and truly Canadian-owned full-size brewery left, but some batches can be skunky like 10 Coronas! Definitely a beer one must keep ice cold!

    What are you drinking now?

Dead Moon Night Imperial stout, by local Dandy Brewing Co., 2022 vintage. This is quickly becoming one of my favourites...deep coffee, smoky charcoal and malt flavours are there and it's a healthy 10%, but not boozy at all. Good thing I'm only tying flies this afternoon...there's 3 more in the...

    What are you drinking now?

Electric Reaper 'non-filtered' IPA, by local New Level Brewing Co. - looks pretty darn clear to me! Not a whole lot of flavour, almost lager-like. Hmmm. Refreshing and a crushable 6.5%, but kinda plain. Still a nice beer, and glad to support local brewers. Cheers! :mug:

    What are you drinking now?

HB Imperial Sprucetip Porter. It's hard to tell from the photo, but I can actually see the colour of this one in the bottom of the glass, a deep ruby/brown. Wow, is this ever getting good! :mug:

    What are you drinking now?

Micro Burst Hazy IPA by local Banded Peak Brewing, and another sample of my Double AC WCIPA. Still sitting at 1.011 for the third day, so I think I'll keg this weekend! Woohoo!! Wow, down from 1.072 to 1.011 in 5 days, and clearing even after a big dry hop. I love Lutra!! Happy...

    My eyes! My EYES!! 😂🤢

    What are you drinking now?

Tumbling Tide Belgian Tripel, 2022 vintage, by local Dandy Brewing Co. Yup, it's a Belgian ( 🤪 ), but smoooooth baby smooth, especially for 8.5%. It's really calmed down since last year's release...and if I had any left from last year, I would do a comparison 😄. Cheers!

    What are you drinking now?

#5 DIPA from Offshoot Beer Co. A very nice beer, especially as it warmed a bit. Almost a creamsicle mouth-feel with a beautiful melon/caramel flavour. And at 8.3%, it makes the work day fade away. Cheers! :mug:

    What are you drinking now?

Final hops are in after a very successful brew day! Woohoo! :ban: 2.5oz each of Citra and Amarillo at 8mins, following the 2.5oz Amarillo at 40mins earlier for bittering. Saved 2oz Amarillo and 4oz Citra for dry hop in 5 days. Ran out of glassware, so sipping a Creamsicle Sour NEIPA from...

    What are you drinking now?

Flow is going great, and the wort is clearing nicely! Only 20min left in the mash, then time for the boil. A very relaxing brew day, making an Amarillo/Citra Double WCIPA, with more flavouring than bittering. Still planning for 8%ish abv and around 85 IBU. So, time for a HB Imperial...

    What are you drinking now?

An RB26 eh..? Very nice.:cool::cool: Well done!:mug:

    What are you drinking now?

Disco Legs DWCIPA by local Banded Peak Brewing. This is a winner! Not boozy at all for 8.1%, and even though the IBU says 90, it isn't very bitter. Very nice! This one has finalized my next recipe...now to get some hops&grain! :mug:

    What are you drinking now?

Having a relaxing few after a steady-eddy week of orders and Spring bookings. I think people are getting fishing fever! Establishment Brewing continues to amaze with all sorts of different styles, here, an 8.0% Imperial Dark Sour with raspberries. It's a warm, soothing kick. Omega Lutra is...

    What are you drinking now?

First HB Imperial Sprucetip Porter with a nice amount of carb. I decided to bottle so I wouldn't have my only keg full of a 14% Porter! 🥴 Very happy with this one, and the harshness of the 'smoky/roasted' flavour is starting to mellow out. Just coffee / dark chocolate / sprucey goodness...

    What are you drinking now?

'Pre' sushi, huh... did you listen to a bit of country music with Willie?:cool::cool:

    What are you drinking now?

Tried a new one from a local, Cabin Brewing...uhmm ja. It's a beefy one, too much spicy on the end. Won't buy this one again. Love Cabin stuff but this one was not for me. Sigh. Apparently bunnies are ruling the universe now, with another 11.6% 'orange creamsicle'...and I'm (hic) kinda there...

    What are you drinking now?

Welp, we've hit 1.030 on this crazy Imperial Porter journey! Amazed at how clear the beer is, I could read the numbers on my hydrometer in the sampling tube. I have a good feeling about kegging this weekend for a little more conditioning. Happy Friday! Celebrating with a new one from...

    What are you drinking now?

I'm finally getting tastes and smells back around normal now, and I caught Covid almost a year ago. Don't believe the hype, @grampamark it will come back. Not everything will taste like mud forever!! :mug:

    What are you drinking now?

Trying a sample of my Imperial Sprucetip Porter, and I'm happily surprised after 13 days of fermentation! 1.150ish - 1.040 tonight. Wow~! o_O Very clean finish, coffee in the nose and a smoky flavour, with a slight 'sprucey' citrus/astringent aftertaste + a hit of chocolate. This might be a...
