    Having a glass of HB WCIPA. I might even have a couple more. It turned out ok, not one of my best, but a great Cascade hop profile, with an extra malty finish. Also very happy I used El Dorado hops as a flavour extra. Will brew this one again, without the brown sugar addition, as it darkened...

    Anyhow, leave the HB in the fridge, and crack the backup! Tokyo Drift 'Turbocharged IPA' by local Last Best. Hitting the mark at 7.2% and making me feel my HB hazy isn't so hazy at all. Cheers!! :mug: RIP Richard Lewis.

    I'm not much for 'dessert' beers, but this one is actually pretty nice. The Gatekeeper Belgian Chocolate Stout, from local Ol' Beautiful Brewing! Gets much more smoky as it warms, but definite chocolate 'liqueur' taste throughout...almost crisp at the finish. Very nice...and the taproom looks...

    Celebrating with a Cosmic Wave DIPA...man. Finally getting back to brewing and started a long-overdue DIPA! One of the easiest brews I've ever had tonight, started the boil at 17:44, pitched the mighty Voss at 21:45, gotta love the easy-cool extract method! Little bit of Munich & Crystal...

    Annex Ale Project - Howling Fantods DIPA, another obscure local from Brewery Row. Pineapple right off the hit, then some papaya as it warms and now into the resinous flavours. Very nice! A well-deserved 8.5% after every fly shop we cater to seemed to realize that their Christmas bookings needed...

    Howe Sound - Ultradestroyer Licorice Stout. Wheew doggie!! :agressive: What a fly fishing season up here in Cowtown. Finally getting a slow-down due to 15" of snow!! :D We had a massive flood through the Mighty Bow Valley in 2013 that decimated the river, and also released Whirling Disease...

    Getting some proper bubbles into my Dark Spring Belgian Tripel. Woohoo! I'm bound & determined not to over carb this beer, but I'm impatient. There is a creamy, almost Boddington's - style head, but the crisp 'crackle' of less head/more carb isn't there yet. Hmm. Might drop the gas down a bit...

    Lindeman's Faro Lambic in a fancy glass. It's one I've never had before, and the cross between a Brett aroma vs. the sweet, fruity taste is a little weird! At any rate, I'm almost out of beer, so might have to venture out into the smoke. I live in a part of the city that is at level 11. Sigh. 🤧

    New one by local Zero Issue Brewing. So tasty and fresh, and the 7.1% makes staying inside due to air quality statements easier. Boy do we ever need rain. Cheers! :mug:

    You have an amazing view. Late Spring in to Summer is great, but I would have already drank and recycled that 'Almighty Julius' can before the first firepit was going. Maybe they put their hearts and souls into it... but....so smarmy. Cheers!
