    Honey, I hate like hell to even heat it up.

    The only reason to heat honey is to pasteurize it. Pasteurization heat is about 155F so adding it at 140F won't achieve that goal.     White grape/peach mead, any advice?

    Brewers Best HopNog 2008...

    I bought the Hopnog 2009 kit yesterday and I'm planning on brewing it today. I brewed a Brewer's Best English Brown Ale that came out great so I'm looking forward to this one. I'll let you know the results in a month or so.

    I used White Labs London Ale liquid yeast. I let it sit out in room temperature for a couple hours while I brewed and then pitched it in right from the vial.

    How is Brewer's Best?

    I brewed a BB kit a couple weeks ago. English Brown Ale. It's in the bottles right now so we'll see how it turned out... I liked that it had all the ingredients and measurements pre-bagged for me!
