    putting new beer onto a yeast cake??

    I have a related question. When pitching onto a yeast cake do you still swirl the wort vigoursly to airate or just siphon on to the yeast cake and leave it?

    Last few Batches... sniff

    Uckily My SWMBO is a beer supporter so If it becomes nescary in the summer I can brew in side. She's excited cause once she has our baby she can drink again and sample some of my first home brew... Shre's a fine beer gal.(errors in typing due to drunken interweb surfing).

    Stupid question..

    Yeah you all were right.. The Krausen has all but completely fallen and there is a rather wonderful beer smell coming from the top of the airlock. Looks like its time to bottle next friday!!!
