Cream Soda Recipe with vanilla extract

How much? One for one replacement for citric acid?

Ready to make the jump to all grain!

It took me what seemed like forever. Finally I downloaded an iPhone app for craigslist that sends me alerts when specific keywords appear in the listings. Still took about three weeks and then I had to drive about an hour to get them. Some people have luck putting wanted adds on craigslist.

    heating element thread size

I think Bobby is right about this and here is what you need to secure it in your vessel. http://www.bargainfittings.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=95 Or you can weld in a 1" npt half coupling like I did.

    Official Broken Hydrometer Count

    258. Broke my first one a couple weeks ago. Only noticed it when my og kept going down every time I looked at it. Pretty soon I had water. Took it out of the test tube and it was cracked on the bottom.

Finally used a keg spear for something

I Had a piece of delrin and a clamp along with the O rings laying around the shop. A bung or cap was an hour drive one way. Plus it got me some much needed practice on the lathe. Next I have to make an adapter to transfer the wort with CO2. I wonder what the thread pitch is for a ball lock...

Finally used a keg spear for something

Turns out that the tube fits perfectly inside the tube that fits inside a glass carboy neck. A few inches of delrin, a couple of o rings and a clamp. Oh and an hour on the lathe( I am not very good at lathe work) And I now have a fermenter that can handle 10 gallon batches.

    Drilling a Keggle

I have bought TWO 7/8 drill bits from tractor supply maybe a year apart. That were absolutely completely wrong on the angle of the tip of the bits. If you tried to drill out a pilot hole the part of the bit hat contacted the material was 1/8 inch back from the cutting edges. Had to take them to...

    DIY CO2 manifold. Good idea?

I cant ever get a leak free connection with my air compressor using these cheap disconnects. Or even the more expensive ones sometimes. I dont think I could sleep at night if they were on my co2 system. Its a real PITA for me to exchange my tank (hour drive one way)

    Drilling a Keggle

I have not but I know several folks who rely almost entirely on cordless tools In very heavy use. Maintenance and construction. They wouldn't be using them if the tools didn't perform.

    Drilling a Keggle

My 12 volt dewalt will easily drill several holes in a keggle on one charge. I gave a 24 volt rigid but the 12 volt gets more use because it's smaller and lighter. Never tried using the hammer function on metal. If it's turning and it's not making chips you need to stop. Stainless work...

    Sharkbite fittings

I also have used sharkbite fittings on pex for a quick disconnect on other things and it started leaking after only a few uses. The little teeth wear grooves in the pex and then the O ring wont seal it anymore. It could last quite a while if you leave it a little long and cut off a half inch...

    Calling the keg guys!

I used "Craigs list pro" for the iPhone. It's a program that will do a search of selected cities and send push alerts when it matches your search terms. It took several weeks and I had to get alerted on a miller light sign shaped like a keg top so many times I almost bought it just so the guy...

    New Guy, Copper top help.

I wouldn't protect it all. The nice texture of all the little scratches and dings of a few years use will look great.

Got a welder, now the fun begins...

Different type of power supply. one (mig I think) is constant voltage the other is constant amps. Something like that. I asked in a welding forum why they didn't make a tig lead for a mig welder and that's basically what they said.

Got a welder, now the fun begins...

I try to have at least three tungstens ready when I start. I will usually stick one pretty fast. I leave the unit on when I change the tungsten but try to turn it off when I go sharpen a few. Unless I have been pushing the limit of the machine then I will leave it on a few minutes to let the...

Got a welder, now the fun begins...

Turn the delay up a little. If not you can play with the sensitivity setting. I set my Miller to go dark when I look at the workshop lights. BTW your eyes are protected from UV and IR even if it does not go dark. Doesn't stop the annoying purple spots however. If you have problems with it...

Yeah. It's good to be prepared but so far gravity has proven pretty reliable:)

Got a welder, now the fun begins...

Wow you ran through that one pretty fast. My 120 lasts me a year. I get nervous when it gets near zero. I worry it will run out in the middle of a project on a Saturday night. I would replace it now.

    Cutting Kegs

I had one I hammered on and cussed for half a day. Then it just seemed to turn loose and easily turn.

    GreenMonti's Keg Tool

Just a note on the starting fluid as a degreaser. Most starting fluid has upper cylinder lube in it wich could mess with the weld some. It does cut grease very well though. It will remove grease and oils stains from clothes also.
