Pull Through (dimpled) TC Ferrules for Soldering Prototype Stuff

@Bobby_M Ditto this. Was about to buy the flange but may hold off for a pull through if it will only take a few weeks. May go ahead with the flange if you’re thinking months. Any thoughts on timing?

Looking for a good burner 200k btu!?

I have two of the KAB6’s and they worked great for my keggle HERMS setup (240k BTUs I believe??). I’ve now converted to indoor BIAB but I’d definitely recommend the KAB6. You’ll also find the KAB4 with the same burner, but the supports holding the pot above the burner are larger on the KAB6...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Neither version will work well in iPad 1 with latest compatible iOS. I’ve tried. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what minimum iOS version is needed for it to work.

    Solid vs Mesh sided Biabasket

I cold crash in the fermenter before transferring to the keg, but the wort was very clear going into the fermenter on brew day.

    Solid vs Mesh sided Biabasket

3 Crops is an excellent one. I’ll be interested to hear how the raspberry purée during secondary turns out for you. My first batch with the hybrid basket was also 3 Crops (straight up). It’s now ready for drinking and one of the cleanest beers (not just clarity but taste) I’ve brewed. I’m sure...

Condo Brewing V2 - Custom eBIAB Build Thread (120V)

First beer kegged and ready for drinking. One of the cleanest I’ve brewed. Overall, much happier with the brew day and with the final product than my last few on my old 3V propane kit.

    Help w/ eBIAB Kettle Design

They did. They said it had to be a TC port as I had initially asked about threaded. This was the spec sheet they sent back to me.

Curious where you got your whirlpool arm? Is it press fit into the TC port?

    Help w/ eBIAB Kettle Design

I have a whirlpool port 6” up in my kettle but only to future proof if I want to go back to a 3V HERMS. I don’t use it for BIAB. My issue with the whirlpool in the side is that I had very little clearance between the basket and the kettle wall. You could probably bend and distort a whirlpool...

Anyone have a Millars Mill Pilot? Problems with crush

Based on your photo, it looks like your gap is far too wide. For a finer crush regardless of mill, many are in the 0.025 to 0.05 range. It looks like you have yours at ~0.1-0.15. Suggest you use a credit card to calibrate.

Anyone have a Millars Mill Pilot? Problems with crush

I like mine. Keep in mind that the mill does have a wide gap spectrum. Credit card width will be at the very lower end. I condition my grain and have my gap set a bit above 0.01. I BIAB and am getting ~83-85% mash efficiency with this crush.

Metzen's Mini Fridge Glycol Chiller Conversion

I’ve been using it and no issues to report. I have since been stepping down the temps when crashing to reach lower temps (at 44 F, then 42, then 40, then 38). Pausing at each step seems to allow the glycol in the fridge to stabilize given that it is not warming while moving through the lines...

Condo Brewing V2 - Custom eBIAB Build Thread (120V)

Also, I didn’t get a great whirlpool and left more wort than I would normally in the kettle and in my plate chiller/tubing so as to not bring the trub into the fermenter. For context, pre-boil I ended up with 7.15gal at 1.036 (expected 6.8gal at 1.034 using an estimated mash efficiency of 75%).
