    Freezing to kill yeast

Try running the capped bottles through the dishwater. This has always been a solid method for me.

Q's Keezer Build -- No Woodworking EXP

Alright, I have made some progress. The liquid nails worked like a charm, but I did eventually bolt the top down-- thanks for the advice badandy.. it would have been a shame if the whole top flew off while switching out a keg. (Don't mind the messy garage or photobombing toddler) I stained...

2 Ball lock kegs for $56 each shipped

So, I know $50-60 seems to be the going rate nowadays for ball locks; however, for those that can't pick them up locally and get creamed by shipping when ordering online, morebeer.com has used ball locks for $69/each. Right now, you save $25 on orders over $125 on top of their free shipping for...

Thoughts on my Mini-Fridge Kegerator Build Plans

I had a Danby Kegerator with a digital temperature display; however the display was off. I took the internal temperature and it was about 43 even though the display said 36. To combat this, I found you could insert a resistor in line with the temperature probe to bring the temperatures down to a...

Is it ok to have controller probe immersed in water?

Yes, but assuming the run time is the same for short, more frequent cycles and longer, less frequent cycles, is there a difference?

Is it ok to have controller probe immersed in water?

That is assuming that longer, less frequent cycles are better for the keezer than than shorter, more frequent cycles. Can anyone chime in on what they think is better for the keezer?

    Too late to bottle?

The way I see it, you have two options. If I were you, I would just let the beer carb in the keg and then bottle them from there. I have bottled plenty of beer from the keg and it works great and you don't have to deal with the sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Or you could let the...

Q's Keezer Build -- No Woodworking EXP

I wanted to post my build because I was reluctant to even try and build a keezer with a coffin box and cabinet because I have no experience with woodworking and have very little tools. I decided to go for it anyways and I wanted to show anyone who my also be reluctant to build because they don't...

Bottling question - long term storage

I meant running the full and capped bottles through the dish washer to halt fermentation.

    Worried about bottle bombs

I have always bottled by dropping the PSI down to 2-3, sticking a 3/16" tube into the end of my faucet, then filling up the bottle until beer is pouring out (Removing the tube leaves the perfect head space in the bottle) then cap it. In fact, last September, I bottled the last bit of a...

Bottling question - long term storage

I have made hard cider in the past and wanted it lightly carbonated and sweet. To halt fermentation where I wanted it, I ran the bottles through the dish washer.

    Frigidaire 7.3 Freezer

Perfect. Thanks! How snug do the four on the floor fit? Is there a bit of wiggle room just in case my kegs are slightly larger in circumference?

    Frigidaire 7.3 Freezer

I have been looking at this model. I want to fit four ball locks on the floor of this thing. Are the circumference of the newer ball locks you have the same as the older rubber top and bottom ones?
