    Craft Beer MAW(Easy Version)

Found out my liquor store has a stash of Prairie Pirate Noir...although at a whopping 12.99 a 12 oz bottle. I was wondering why they still had it in stock.

    BIAB stand under construction.

Looks pretty damn awesome. I want to do something like this but still can't make up my mind on what I want.

    BIAB stand under construction.

Are you planning on recirculating during the mash?

    First Kolsch and Lagering questions

First off you have an ale yeast no need for lagering. 1) I always use a starter with liquid yeast but a large one...nah. Use mrmalty.com Yeast Tools to figure pitching rate. 2) 1 vial is plenty especially if making a starter 3)With this particular ale strain I've had good luck fermenting at 58...

    PicoBrew Zymatic

The advanced recipe control program editor is kind of a pain. I just want to do a simple beta alpha rest and it is pretty screwy. Dough in temps are defaulting to 102 for 20 minutes. Is that what it does if you don't edit the mash steps regularly? Is that just to thoroughly wet the grains...

Help w/ BIAB Basket Mesh Sizing (400v600v800)

If people are having issues with the element getting caked in the kettle, I was just thinking in a tube it'd have to be worse.

Help w/ BIAB Basket Mesh Sizing (400v600v800)

Anybody here RIMS with their BIAB setup and and use a Basket? I'm thinking something that I can detach from the kettle and fire up the KAB6 to get the boil ripping quick. If you guys are having issues with the elements getting caked with the element in the bottom of the kettle, would the RIMS...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Sweated it out. It's 101 here and I have 5g of a Helles cooling down to below pitching temp as we speak. Glad I got it done and even more glad it's over.

    Just found Doctor Who..

It's much bigger than it looks from the outside...I like to tell my wife that from time to time then run like hell...I'm dumb. I love these reboot episodes, and I have really enjoyed the movie type episodes between seasons too. They've done a fantastic job of keeping it as fresh as possible...

    RIMS tube or RIMS rocket

Does the element from Brewers hardware come wired up? The rims rocket is complete in that sense.

    Mosquito report.

Luckily here in Oklahoma as long as a good breeze is blowing your good which happens way more often than not. As soon as it lays down though, run for cover. Already had a couple of reports of West Nile Virus back in June this year which is earlier than usual.

    Craft Beer MAW(Easy Version)

Man had some Dream Crusher the other night. It smelled great but must have been an older batch didn't have that late hop taste.

    Fast fermentor

Sounds good to me. I was going to say the same thing so if you are wrong, I'm in the same boat. Of course big beers take a little longer, but 10-12 days I'd say are about the typical amount of ferment time I use at home. What I end up waiting the most for is dry hop additions but its not that...

So did you replace the bad recp closest to the breaker on that line?

    Craft Beer MAW(Easy Version)

If this list isn't already taken, I can get you all the Okie beer one can stand. Do you like sours at all? Prairie is putting out a ton of those right now. I believe I have some Bible Belt still and some other bomb variants still in my stash. Prairie just put out a Belgian Golden Ale bottle...
